Hello everyone, first of all i would like to say and to admit...yes i do flame..but never without being provoked or being tilted by my teammates for playing ranked for "fun"...i play league for about 8 years...since swain first came out....i dont find it right that you guys from Riot Games...can just take away that from me..8 years of playing..spending money..resources....simply my essence....and ok i do flame..i do say bad things....awful things...but those things are forgotten in like 10 min after the game ended.....people just dont care....and you can get reported for a lot of things by many players just for "fun"...i dont find it right that you can just take away from me my acc...you could come out with new solutions like for example...a very good and maybe the best solution against flamers like me.....PERMA MUTE..the biggest weapon a flamer has its his keyboard....why do u gotta perma ban me....its just not ok...and im sorry for not being a huge streamer like Tyler1 so i can get unbanned....im just a normal person..a working person who enjoys competitive ranked lol...u can check my stats ive always played ranked...more than normals....its just not right to perma ban flamers...scripters...hackers....people who troll on ranked games and feed on purpose..maybe...but not flamers....take away their keyboard ingame...since u cant voicechat ingame...no keyboard...no flamer....

Thank you for your time and i hope maybe with the help of others...we can change the way Riot Games just take our accounts from us when they can just take the keyboard ingame from us....

Be yourself,no matter what they say.

A few thoughts:

PERMA BAN for flame should be changed to PERMA MUTE

A Perma-mute is a great idea. In fact, Riot already tried that. They thought it was worth implementing into the game. They then found it didn't work because it increased instances of trolling and feeding.

im sorry for not being a huge streamer like Tyler1 so i can get unbanned

Tyler1 (takes shot) was not unbanned. All of his permanently-banned accounts are still banned. Rather, he was allowed to make a new account without it getting immediately removed.

change the way Riot Games just take our accounts from us

Legally speaking, the accounts are not ours. It's not unique to Riot, either, but industry standard to have all accounts belong to the company making the game.

Permanent mutes aren't an answer. Players that want to lash out and cannot due it via chat, will do it through other methods. We have a lot of data backing this up. We don't want money from toxic players. We want them to stop playing.

Also...this...is no way...to type...if you want....people to listen....to you.

Riot's already tried (what was essentially) Perma-mutes - moreover, it was indefinitely scaling Chat Restrictions. The majority of players under these indefinitely scaling chat restrictions simply resorted to gameplay trolling to take out their frustrations on their teammates, since flaming them in chat was no longer an avenue to do so.

Riot has concluded that players should only be given a few opportunities to reform, and they decided on three. As such, the punishment tiers go as follows (For the case of flaming, of course): 10-game Chat Restriction > 25-game Chat Restriction > 14-day Suspension > Permanent Suspension. You're given ample warnings that your behavior is unacceptable, and ample opportunities to shape up and start playing by the rules.

If you somehow ignore the warnings and get yourself permabanned, then that means that Riot no longer wants you in their game. You clearly don't respect the rules, and they want you gone.

Besides - flaming is an act of volition. You are choosing to spew your vitriol in chat. Maybe, rather than try to change Riot's perfectly reasonable policies against flaming or negative behavior, rather than try to have Riot coddle flamers and revoke their chat privileges - how's about instead we expect the people to have enough self-control to not flame?

Sorry Captain Kirk. Riot tried that already.

I think it really boils down to what you say. Racial slurs, homophobia etc. should be a perma ban but saying something like "you're a fucking troll you dickface" or "report adc he fucking sucks" and getting reported for it then I agree that it should be an in-game chat perma ban.

i'm sure this comment will be downvoted just like this thread, excuse my opinion, but the perma-ban system for just saying curse words on a game that can bring out the worst in us is kinda stupid. I have never been perma banned (only a 10 game chat restriction) but this is still what i think. Im not Riot though so I cant make the rules.
