This was almost an instant ban directly after a game while in queue. It surely wasn't the right way to act but it is not like I have made a habit of it? just calling someone the c word? That's 15 days? This is my first time ever being punished? The punishment seems awfully stiff for all of the times I have been verbally abused and never responded. Anyone have input on this?
C- -t has become classified as a form of hate speech, due to the derogatory nature against women. And Riot has a zero tolerance policy towards hate speech. You can try to submit an appeal to Player Support through a ticket to see if they would consider lessening the ban, but I wouldn't be overly optimistic.
Riot has a 0% tolerance for that language, yes. Using it can definetely escalate you to a 14-day and even perma depending on it's usage.
As for the players who verbally abused you, you should make a habit of muting and reporting them. Do not respond to toxicity: mute, play through the game, and then report the players so that you preserve your own account and the validity of your report while flagging the players who are being toxic to you.
Pretty sure the punishment wasn't given for just that one game.
Look at the bright side, your account will be unbanned just intime for next season. best of luck
