False Reports

For the past three weeks or so I have been getting reported and I didn't say anything majorly offensive. If I disagreed to anything I got a report at the end of the game, its getting really annoying as I know reports can limit your ability to do certain stuff in the league community. I just want to talk about this discussion today and if there is anything that can be done.

Define majorly offensive that can mean a lot of things

If you're getting reported consistently, you should probably look at what you're saying and try to tone back negative behaviors. Even if you don't think it's that bad, consistent reports will get you punished.

Some people are saying "Maybe you are more offensive than you think you are." They are correct. However:

It is possible to be 100% silent in games and receive "Your language was offensive" notifications. This happens to me frequently. Again, I am 100% silent in games.

Regardless of whether the OP is toxic or not (we have no way of knowing), it is true that the report system is very flawed, and it is common for the losing team to report each other, regardless of whether or not those reports have merit.

Getting reported consistently is NOT ALWAYS a sign of toxic behavior. A string of losses, trying out a new champion for a few games, or just having bad luck finding friendly Solo Q teammates multiple games in a row can lead to consistent report.

Lyte has said the most common word toxic players use in chat is "report" - a sure sign that the reporting system needs to be changed to discourage the truly toxic players from using it as a tool for revenge.

If you've been punished, send us your ticket and we will tell you what's wrong. If you only got the popup warning in the client, fear not, it doesn't have anything to do with actual punishments.

Your definition of majorly and another's definition of majorly likely vary. If you are getting warned then you are being reported in multiple games and therefore are likely being an issue even if you don't believe you are.

At the end of the day if you are following the summoner's code false reports mean nothing, but if you are getting warned there is probably something you are doing or saying that isn't great.
