New honour system is much worse than old system. Talk amongst yourselves.

There was really nothing wrong with the old system that warranted messing with it OR removing the ability to honour the other team. That element alone is a factor in reducing the honourable behaviour in matches as one incentive has been removed. I know they say they will add it later, but why remove it in the first place? The new method of a forced honour encourages people to bestow honour more often, but it's a meaningless exercise as it does nothing to encourage honourable behaviour. Rito done goofed, and should just revert it.

Riot needs an excuse to make it look like they are working. Otherwise, the entire system could be automated and a bunch of people lose their very comfy jobs. Just think of the poor dog that might have to stay home because it isn't allowed at work anymore.

The issue with the current system is while it is blatantly in your face now, it requires favoritism. Riot insists on a team game, but wants players to single out one player. While it's definitely the case at times one player doing the heavy lifting, there are just as many times it's multiple if not the entire team pulling weight. Additionally as stated, the inability to honor opponents.

In all honesty, it feels like a half assed version of Overwatch's system. Certain aspects from the older system need to be reinstated if they want it to be truly fair and balanced.

I mean In general I've noticed it reducing toxic behavior quite a bit. It's not perfect but frankly, it's a good system that is more rewarding for everyone. The old system would reward less people, and give smaller rewards.

New Honor System Better

I still miss Tribunal though, but the feed back system is a step in the right direction.

You're not forced to honor someone. There is a small button bottom/middle of the screen to skip the honor vote.

with the old system, people can "randomly" loose their honor ribbons without knowing why it disappeared.

Honor trading was a problem for those that participated in it, while not enough people honored with that old system.

With the old system, I would forget to honor people at the end of a game, even if they deserved it. This new system helps with that. If everyone was a dick I can choose to honor nobody :P

They need to add reports, and enemy team honors to the honor screen though.
