ive discovered that sometimes. parents if they cant find a reason to punish you. start to become paranoid. and look for anything negative to project on you. just so they have a reason. and make it look like theyre doing thier job

your parents think that league invokes terrorism? o_o

As a parent, I encourage various interests in my kids. They probably want you to keep some more balance - especially while you are young and have so many things to discover. Too much of anything is 'too much'. That said, I am obsessed with League and it's totally my hobby. No terrorism or porn found yet though - not sure where that came from. Maybe they read a book lately about screens and teens..

I mean... are you obsessed with league?

One thing is your 16 and in the state's u listen to your parents. Second is are you over playing that could result in better use of your time? Its a game and can be fun and glad you enjoy it but don't let it consumes your life. My best feedback is step back and take a good look at the picture. If you disagree with your parents then need to talk to them.

there was a study done; 3 hours of contineous gaming in a day increased the anger in people over the course of 3 months.

so, are you getting more angry and rage easier? That could be an indicator to your parents for your "negative influence"

are your grades slipping? if so, another reason to poke at league.

are you not seeing enough outdoors? parents that aren't into gaming truely believe kids should go out and play more

bottomline, can't help you. but maybe sitting down with them and having a chat may work? who knows. they are your parents, not mine and they normally only see the surface. (when they come back from work, they are always seeing you play games. how about show them you are doing homework first when they get home)

This doesn't belong in Player Behavior and Moderation.

Well its your parents, and if you live in their house, you have to live by their rules! You dont mention how often you are playing, and that could be the reason why they dont want you on it 24/7. Especially if you are sacrificing other things like getting a job, doing other activities, or school work which will be much more important to focus on than playing this game. You could try talking to your parents to see why they feel like that, and try to come to some conclusion to help both of you.

Ask them how you can ease their fears about the game. Maybe let them watch you play a game or show them a professional game and explain how this game has millions of players and a huge competitive scene.

The other thing you can do is try to compromise with them. Ask them what you can do for them so you can play one or two hours a day (more chores, play a sport, learn an instrument, etc.) Chances are they view league as a waste of time and think you are squandering your potential.

The other thing you can do is show them how it helps you learn English and explain how that will help you get a good job or get into a good college, etc.
