My account was permanently banned with no previous restrictions/bans

Hey everyone,

So I'd just like an explanation on why my account was permanently banned within 24 hours of two games being played when there had been no previous restrictions/bans in the recent past? I honestly can't remember if I've ever received punishment before and was wondering if League was really this strict.

First off I'll admit the games I'm being punished for I was toxic. I fully admit what I said was rude, and mean. But what happened was I played poorly in the early game and I got flamed for it, and instead of being reasonable I flamed back. I know this isn't the right attitude at all and I should've just taken a breather, but I just got really tilted when one or two members on my team started telling me how useless I was.

I'm really sorry for what happened honestly, and out of hundreds of games these have been the only 2 I really flamed people in.

For reference this was generally one of the more terrible things I typed:

It's fully aware that Riot (does not promote toxicity) tons of times Riot has said, yet some people have ignored. All you had to do was " /mute all " You'll be fine

Is that your entire chatlog that was given to you? And are you sure you've never been hit by a punishment in the past couple of months?

I find it unusual that you're brought straight to perma-ban status in one punishment for poor behavior. Even the worst behavior only sends a person to a 14-day ban on the first punishment.

ya ... repeatative use of homophobic slurs will jump punishment tiers.

Use it alot and it'll jump into direct permaban.

If you want feedback on your punishment, please post a screen shot of your reform card if the chatlog is short enough or copy and paste an unedited chatlog from your card.

However, just from the few lines you did post, zero tolerance policies will escalate punishments to a minimum of 14 day bans. If your chat is so bad that if it were humanly possible for eyeballs to vomit the light that just entered it from reading such abhorrent and toxic text, my eyes would reject the light that just went into it... it will get escalated to a permaban.

Did you play those two games directly after each other? And more importantly: Did you already use zero tolerance phrases in the first of the two games you played?

What I've seen happen before is that people, due to IFS needing a bit of time to dish out punishment, manage to get into another game before their 14 day ban. This game is then already considered to be played "after" the 14-day ban, and thus these people wereon very thin ice. Thus, when they misbehaved in that game, despite not even knowing about their previous punishment, they were then hit with a permaban.

This is not intended behaviour, and I actually thought they had it fixed. These people had the permaban reduced back to a 14-day ban after writing a ticket (and sometimes after opening a thread), so if this might be what happened to you, I recommend writing a ticket. To clear this up I also recommend checking your emails to see whether you actually got two emails regarding punishment; one of which would then probably be for a 14-day ban.
