Ok... SO i have NEVER been suspended or penalized for anything, then i play with a smurfing riven in plat 3 who is saying bot is trolling (im jinx with nami with a score of 13-7). He continuously says we are trolling and talks other types of crap. I said %%% 2 times when i was sneak attacked by a J4 and when i was constantly flamed by riven. That is the worse thing i said. If this guy is a riot employee, i am very saddened by how he abused his power. here is the log

Hate speech slurs (and calls to self harm) are considered zero tolerance, as they are not acceptable to be used in any instance at all. Using one will result in a direct 14 day ban.

Reasons for it to not exist:

Context matters. "I am fine being called a %%%%%%" "Tf, ult and kill yourself"(aram) "[00:00] %%%%%%! %%%%%%! %%%%%% " - the stupid one, but not pointed at anyone. Just from the top of my head, but you get the idea.
Other games do not find necessary to collapse on people for saying a word.
Such irrational taboos create artificially tense environment uncomfortable to be in for a decently developed brain like mine, even though I don't find myself flagged by zero tolerance parser.
Zero tolerance words do not disrupt the game more than any other words (when used in negative context). They, just like any other chat offenses feel(it's a bad word to use as one of your points, but it's still important) wrong to get punished in line with griefers and cheaters, who flip the board and don't let you play the game at all.
The mere fact of this policy's existence is evidence that riot games is trying to enforce their vision of the world on people who didn't ask for that and treats us like children, not like clients. Yes, the fact that you will get treated like that is there in ToS. Just like it always is when some huge company abuses a group of people.

These are good points. Something I have preached on these boards for years is that if you make words taboo by censoring them, you give them power. When I was growing up, %%%%%% and %%%%%% were normal words. No race or sexual preference had a problem with it where I grew up. At the same time during that time period.... Fuck, Damn, and shit were the most offensive words you could possibly say. When those words were taboo, they were used and abused everywhere someone had the freedom to say it. Now those words are said so much that no one even bats an eye at them.

As for those other two words... Well.... Just take a look. They are censored and being made taboo again when they had already fallen out of style in the 90's. Now that we are making them taboo again, people will abuse those words where they have the freedom to use them. If someone has the intent to hurt your feelings, they will use the words that they know will bother you. By us making words taboo, we are letting them know which words bother us.

Whatever culture tells people not to do, people will do the opposite whether they are trying to be funny offensive, or hurtful offensive.

Inconsistency is actually a legit reason that I can think of. Just this week alone I had one person threaten to kill my family and rape my mother... Their account is active. Yesterday someone said to me "kys irl retard", when all I said to them was, "You can find groups for missions in Discord, Reddit, and the forums.". Their account is active.

I have had this behavior directed at me and have seen it directed at other people for a year now and have seen 20 instances MINIMUM where I actually followed their accounts to see if they received the same treatment as I did for far less. Nope. Almost all of them have remained active. Only one got banned and it was because he triggered the automated system for saying one of the "trigger" words too many times.

It isn't good. Even in the game I got banned a year ago, the other people attacking me who committed the exact same offense did not get banned. I watched their accounts and they remained active. I submitted a support ticket to Riot Support and showed them a case where a guy only got hit with a chat restriction for saying FARRRRRR worse than I did. I don't really have anything to prove there since all of that info is still on record in my old support tickets.

Zero tolerance policy is a bad joke. Having forbidden words is a bad joke. I am just making sure neither of those is left without a punchline. People have trouble writing it themselves.
