Why do I keep losing ?

Hi,

I am relatively new to the game. I've been playing for almost a year now, and ranked for 3/4 months. After placement I got to Silver V, got up to Silver 2 playing mainly support and a bit of jungle too. But I have lost like my 12/13 last games as a support. And dropped to Silver 4 right now.

This causes me to tilt every game whenever I have a really bad ADC who can't CS properly, As I see my elo drop. Do you have any advice ? I've tried to mute everyone at the start of the game to focus on my play and not flame, but it seems like I always end with someone in my team acting like a jerk and ruining the game. What shall I do to stop losing ? Give up on support and take care of my own lane ?

Thanks, no hate please, just trying to get better here, but I can't stand losing no more.

I look at your match history, I see a lot of full AP Lux support.

Lux is a good bronze-stomper, but the higher elo you are, the weaker she becomes. She's pretty much unplayable by plat unless you're smurfing.

If you really feel your ADCs are too dumb, you need to play her as carry from the get go. Your KDAs tell me you're actually trying to get your ADC fed (If you really wanna' support- try a better support) As an alternative to being the carry, you can instead play a support with greater map presence (which you'll have to learn). If your ADC, jungler and mid are all fed, one of them will carry.

Blitzcrank can do this, but he's in a bad spot right now. And I'd wager you play him similar to Lux and try and funnel kills into your ADC in lane. With that said neither Blitz nor Lux have the best peel- there's going to be games that are completely unforgiving because of that.

Add a tank / peeling support to your roster, and know who you NEED to use them vs (try and keep Lux/Blitz to positive matchups). And I'd suggest watching Nasteey, I0ki, or heck, even Bunnyfufuu if you can ever catch him playing an actual sup- to learn how to carry by roaming.

Having said that win / loss streaks happen.

Happened to be as well. For some reason this whole week has been really bad to get any good teammates that know what they are doing even in plat so either taking a break for a few days or play another role that might be able to carry more so than support since it's harder to climb as support than any other role.

Roam and get other lanes ahead. Make the ones capable of carrying further ahead and carry the game.

First and foremost, don't worry about the loss streaks, it happens. Faker had a 15 game loss streak last season, sometimes you're just going to lose games out of your control. Now, a few things. In general, don't swap Champions. A lot of people feel like it's the champs fault when they loss streak, and will stop playing who they're best at to try and stop the fall. Stick with what you're good at and things will turn out alright. As far as support specifically, take care with warding. One of the easiest ways for tilt to lose you a game is being too focused on what your team is doing, and sitting with full wards and whatnot. The more vision you place, the more information your team has, and the less likely they are to chimp out and die alone randomly. Good luck!
