account suspended for illegal program

So a few months ago I quit league because I had a lot of work at my university, than I went back to play a game and my account was suspended, at first I did not know why and sent a ticket turns out it was banned for illegal programs, which I have never used so I thought I use my account on public computers at my school and maybe got hacked turns out I did as my account info is on the internet when you google search it, talking to the support on the ticket they acknowledged that I did in fact get hacked and they pretty much knew that, but told me I still banned as anything done on the account is on me and my fault. This does not seem fair They know and agree that I was hacked but still keep me banned as it is policy that anyone that goes on your account will be on you. At first I just quit as I was very disappointing and upset with what occurred but now I miss the game and realize that I spent a good amount of money on the game. Anybody know what to do? Because this does not seem right

Allow me to tell you the problem with League OF Legends does not offer IP Verification via email, if you get hacked its just as much their fault as it is yours, I will try to explain why.

I believe Riot has a Mobile Auth. VIA Cellphone, or Smart Phone, not everyone uses these, when a user logs in from a new IP address they should be given the option to have a security warning sent to their email where the user has to enter the code on the client to login to the game and save it as an authorized login location to prevent account hacking.

I am not saying Riot is totally responsible, but I am saying that there is new security in which they lack, or do not offer to the players and that part is their fault, sometimes is is unfortunate to get key-logged its happen to me in World OF Warcraft before, and Blizzard restored and unbanned my accounts.

But I am also having a hard time with support myself trying to appeal this Intentional feeding ban Because I have never done such as they claim and I am on my second support ticket now debating with them, I honestly am starting to respectfully not know if I can trust Riot Games anymore, Like I am respectful to all their support staff, and Rioters, but issues like this, and your issue needs to be resolved especially adding the security to give layers the option to protect their account.

Like is it my fault that I was browsing the internet before, and I got two Hi-Jacking Viruses on my computer demanding I pay money to unlock it (No Its not) Not even my Anti Virus stopped it, but it was because Java, and Flash often have security Issues that allow a user to take control of another users computer, automatically install harmful programs, although I was able to fully remove and fix my computer from these dumb virus it was annoying as hell manually fixing my registry from the damage it did.

Like in the computer, and gaming world a company should at least give players the benefit of the doubt in some cases like these especially when a user might login from an infected computer, and there is no IP Verification, or token to protect a users account it would add a big layer of protection if a user required a token when they played from a library computer for example that way if someone did get the password they would have to re-authroize through your email, so your account would not get compromised.

I just hope and pray Riot isn't becoming another NC-Soft I had to deal with a hacker deleting my entire Characters on Lineage 2 years ago, I never got the stuff back, the Game Masters told me to screw myself, I quit playing as a result ( It was a flaw in their website event that allows players to steal account information years ago.) And they still refused to fix this, but before their game went Free 2 Play, my account was safe for over 3 years untouched. (So I know how you feel about this.)

It's not so much that they assume anyone on the account is the account owner, but that they have no way of explicitly punishing individuals responsible for the behavior. The only thing they can affect is the account in question. So they do.

After reading your posts, I honestly wonder if you are a college student. "I is a college student" appears to suit you perfectly with your horrifying grasp of grammar.

As for your complaint, Riot cannot tell WHO is playing on an account. Just that the account is doing something it should not be doing. You can send in a support ticket and plead your case.
