Hostage Situations

I play this game for fun, as I'd hope we all do. My particular game of choice is ARAM. Whenever I'm in a game that I know is going to be a huge, drawn-out loss and just isn't fun anymore, I feel like I should be able to opt out without consequence, especially if other members repeatedly agree with me.

For example: Today I played a game in which after 16 minutes we had none of the enemy towers down, where they were at our last defense line. We had been repeatedly wiped out, our kills standing at less than half theirs. I suggested a surrender. The first time, I got a vote of 2/3. Alright, I can live with that I guess. Then a few minutes later, as we managed to maintain our kill ratio with the other team while still failing to gain any ground, my friend suggested a surrender. This time the vote was 2/2. Still we had to play on. At this point I'm aggravated. My play is suffering as I'm being more aggressive out of anger and intent to finish the game. I briefly wonder if this is going to lead to anyone reporting me for feeding, because I'm hardly any help anymore. I'm deep-fried d'onion rings but can't quit for fear of the LeaverBuster. So once more I try. 2/2 again. Now I just feel like I'm being held hostage in a crap game because I was unlucky enough to be paired with a couple of jerkwads who just want to poke and try to kill a bit more before the end, wasting everyone's time.

I ask that there be a way to leave games that have gone on longer than 20/25 minutes without consequence if there have been multiple surrender votes with agreeing players. If players are forced to stay, their play will diminish anyway, making the game as bad or worse than if they had just left.

Don't negotiate with terrorists.

Are you going to take another lane just to "get along" ...because in the long run you are screwing the people after you game.

because let me tell you, unless you are in a premade, that troll and the rest of the team WILL COMPLETELY FORGET THAT YOU DID THIS.

See, this is another way that Riot encourages shitty people in it's games.

The correct way to go would be NOT go to another lane simply because a child decided to throw a tantrum, but in this community, it's more accepted that you accommodate this troll and his shitty behavior, and then encourage them through zero consequences to do this to the next team where he doesn't get the lane he/she wants.

It's a vote for a reason. Deal with it.
