Leaver Buster is TOO punitive!

I have been playing this game from the very beginning and have seen many trends that were positive and negative. One negative has always been people leaving games. The team ends up short-handed and usually loses. This negatively impacts the game play for many. Most can agree that rage-quitters and trolls need to be weeded out. But what of the player who experiences a power-outage, internet failure, or game/computer crash and disconnects from the game but returns post haste? A 20 minute wait time in a lower priority queue for five games is answer Riot came up with? Given the number of years I have been playing this game, I feel rather betrayed. I experienced a power outage this morning and disconnected for roughly 5 minutes beginning at the load screen. I promptly returned, finished the game and immediately received my notice that I was in a lower priority queue. Now I have to wait 20 minutes in a queue to play another......for the next five? Surely there is a distinction between someone who rages and leaves the game for good and someone who experiences a technical difficulty and returns to finish the game. Riot can't make a distinction between a habitual abuser and one who experiences occasional brief glitches? To say that I am frustrated would be a gross understatement. There has to be a more reasonable solution.

in order for this to be possible... ever city in the WORLD would have to submit when a power outage occurs. It would take an hour PER CITY so there would be no reason to do this. Just wait your 30 minutes.

If anything I believe it is too Lenient.

You got Leaverbuster because you leave games. The power outage triggering Leaverbuster is just a coincidence.

If you're experiencing occasional brief glitches, then you likely wouldn't be punished; however, because you were punished, then you were having more than just the occasional glitch. You were having these "glitches" often enough to trigger Leaverbuster, which means you are getting disconnected from too many games. It's your responsibility to make sure you have a stable connection, and while these "glitches" may be out of your control, if they are happening often enough to trigger Leaverbuster, then it's your responsibility to figure out whats causing them and to find a solution so you don't disconnect from anymore games.

Also, the 20 minute wait time is given out for the first punishment, which means that you have left many games in the past, enough to get punished by Leaverbuster before.

On a side note, the reason for your leave doesn't matter to Leaverbuster. A leave is leave no matter what. Even if you were gone for only 5 minutes, that's a long time in a game of League, enough time for the enemy team to gain an advantage over your team because of the 4v5.

You have to be habitually leaving games (or disconnecting for a few mins) to get a penalty. Occasional disconnects won't get you a penalty. I've had to leave games early every now and then and I've never been penalized for it.

You're not telling us some info.
