is blocking people worth or even better than reporting people?

Hello,I want to know if any of you have ever used the blocking system to never meet toxic people again , or people who you were toxic to? I know myself for being the first to int, I also don't like blaming orther for an error of some sort,I prefer to blame rito for this (sorry riot) :'(. So i decided to block people that played really badly with mee in ranked, people that start flaming and people that i start flaming. is it something that i should do? should i report instead of blocking?

Blocking doesn't prevent you from playing with people you blocked. That would be abused, and it even seems like you are willing to abuse it by blocking bad players.

You should always report people that actually break the rules, though not just people who are playing badly.

Blocking is pretty much entirely pointless.
