Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place so please point me in the right direction if possible, cheer.

Title sums it up, i feel as if i was unfairly muted.

Here's the context:

Game 1 In-Game Kamu Monyet: wtf are you all doing though, honestly Kamu Monyet: like youve all just talked and inted all game Kamu Monyet: yes blame the only lane not inting for your mistakes, muted Kamu Monyet: do you even know what projecting mean, ill save your the time. NO YOU DONT Kamu Monyet: nah they all wont stop typing Kamu Monyet: the 3 of them literally afk typing all game Kamu Monyet: dudes playing rengar top complain about amad mathcup YIKES Kamu Monyet: ????????? Kamu Monyet: ????????????? Kamu Monyet: chance for what? Kamu Monyet: you ignored bot all game and inted Kamu Monyet: how if taking scuttle helping botlane Kamu Monyet: honestly gl with your next game Kamu Monyet: i cannot talk to you, this is pathetic Kamu Monyet: so toxic Kamu Monyet: thse 3 saying they gonna keep me hostige then saying let them end so they afk at base Kamu Monyet: pls report mid top jg for greifing Kamu Monyet: ????????????????????

I was only given one example of poor communication and this is it. I don't see how defending myself passively is a fair reason to be muted. Three of my team typed all game which is why i said "wtf are you all doing though honestly" this message was around mid game (15 minutes when ff vote failed because of me) and by this point they had all fed all game and they got offended then grouped up and flamed me because one:i asked if they could stop talking and play and two: because i didn't ff at 15.what's the point of the option to vote no if you use it then get flamed and muted/punished.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Arguing with other players (regardless of the circumstances) is never a good idea, and it is evident from your chat that you were indeed a bit provocative and hostile. It's best to mute toxic players without saying anything and report them when the game ends. "Self-defense" frequently turns into "let's flame them back", so I'd advise against doing that and using the aforementioned method instead.

However, I don't think a chat log like this would necessarily warrant an immediate restriction. Chat restrictions are usually a result of someone displaying negative behavioural patterns throughout an extended period of time, which I'm assuming is the case here. This, of course, doesn't apply to extreme cases.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of restriction have you received?

I completely see were you are coming from but I respectively disagree, replying to people flaming myself is factually not provocative in any way. I can't see how I was hostile either, I'm not going to act as if my messages were positive but they surely were fair responses to the messages i was receiving(maybe all messages should be shown for true context @riot) I do not agree that they were hostile though. I will 100% mute all players every game now except duos as I don't trust the automated system anymore and It's not worth risking my chance to talk to friends unfortunately so thanks for that gesture.

I was only given this single example so I can't imagine I'd had previous offences or I'm guessing they would have been shown as well or else why would they give numbers for the proof eg: "Game 1" if multiple examples weren't commonly given.

The restriction was 10 game of limited messages I've only played one game since and was limited to 5 messages for the whole game which started at 3/5 then increased as the game progressed.

Just avoid ever using the word report or you'll get flagged automatically lmao. Treat it the same as you'd treat kys lol.

Your opinion is that it’s not provocative. That is by definition an opinion, not a fact. Riot and the community hold the opinion that no matter who starts it, contributing to it is not acceptable because it continues it.

It does not matter that they started it. Your responses do not get judged based on what they did. You do not get to break the rules just because they were doing something else. So if this is against the rules if everyone else said nothing, it’s also against the rules here.

Saying that the definition of opinion is an opinion was a good point, i like how someone so wise can say he speaks for the whole community. Honestly I thought any feedback would be nice but I clearly overestimated this community's ability of dealing with reason or logic.

This is nowhere NEAR toxic, people that think this is toxic are pathetic. There has to be some other game or reason you were chat banned.

The term "toxic" is so overused by this sensitive flower of a community, similar to white girls and the word "literally".

League of legends has the most pathetic community you can possibly find on the internet.

The most vocal are the people insecure enough to go complain about a stranger saying they fucked their mom on the internet, whereas every sane person would just go "eh ok" and move on.

Most likely due to the very high number of players (once upon a time) is why there are so many e-Karens. The percentage of them compared to normal people is still the same to most other communities though.

You are spot on. This is my first time even considering to use the forums so i took the time to look at similar posts to mine. In all cases it either was someone flaming or simply not being a positive fairy which the latter shouldnt be bannable. The large large majority of responces are either mods saying your are not a fairy and context is irrelevant which is absolute lunacy. The other majory are players who simply support whatever the mod says having zero self confidence in having their own opinion and just ditto the mods words in hope of getting a little banner themselves one day. Two final points i hope others see if they come across this post sinse i have now given up dealing with this community of princesses. Context is extremely relevant when any rule is being applied, if you stop the in middle of a 100km road because there was a dead cow in your way the no stopping in high speed traffic law would be ignored due to circumstance, if someone is being held at gunpoint and then turns on the kidnapper and punches them the hosrage would not be charged with assult due to the circumstances. Last point is that it is very clear this game is owned by china. Our way or BAN. If messages are so limited to being things such as "nice smite" or " wow" there should be an automated quickchat message system because from what it seems the messages that are allowed only use under 1% of the english vocabulary which really destroys the need for there being ant freedom of speech. Im almost certain this post will be flagged due to this comment but thanks for your time friend. I hope i can meet more people like you while playing on muteall mode somehow considering we arent allowed to talk.

I agree with everything you said.

It truly does suck to see so many sheep and the fact that just like the American population right now, we could do something to make a change for the better, but there aren't enough people with their own opinions. "Toxic bad, Tencent good".

Not too long ago actually I saw a video from a good youtuber named "Glink" who made a video on how fucked up Tencent is and how much control they actually have.

They own the messaging service chinese citizens use called "WeChat" and they monitor every single message sent. If any message speaks poorly about the chinese governement, the police are notified and sent to the user's house to arrest them.

We truly live in a dystopian society of literal mega corporations monitoring what you do at all times.

Yeah my partner is chinese so unfortunately Im some what well informed with how it all works, the rabbit hole really does run deep. Its going to be such an eye opener in the next 20 or so years when the rest of the world catches up. It will sure the interesting to see how many people actually have their own opinions or even value them by that stage.

There's literally no context on time in this though, i understand 18 messages is a lot(counted quick and could be wrong lol) but as you can see most of them are a small bunch or words or just question marks which took seconds to type and didn't effect my game play.

the number of messages is also irrelevant, it's the fact that pretty much every message you sent was arguing (if not insulting) and definitely not constructive to the game at all

the context of WHY you were arguing is irrelevant, you were arguing

and by "non-stop" i meant that you only sent negative messages, never anything helpful or positive.

while this log alone may not be overly toxic, talking like this over and over would absolutely add up and lead to a punishment eventually. Think of it like a health bar, just because you're taking 1 damage at a time doesn't mean your HP wont hit 0 eventually.

Your problem is you stuck up for yourself in league of legends. You will always be treated on the same level as people who run it down mid lane. Consider the mute a blessing. Chat is worthless in this game. Pings are king.

They weren't positive, yes. They were negative. And if this is the kind of behaviour you're frequently exhibiting, then eventually you will get punished (which, unfortunately, ended up happening). And no, there's nothing fair about arguing with other players, nor is there a point in seeing other people's messages because we're talking about your case here and what you did, not someone else.

Because it was the most recent one that triggered the punishment.

######Keep in mind that I'm only assuming a chat log of this caliber wouldn't necessarily warrant a chat restriction on its own (provided you've never been rightfully reported before). It is my personal opinion and doesn't have to reflect Riot's stance on it.

I am really struggling to agree with a lot of what you are saying."wtf are you all doing though, honestly" may look bad out of context, in context the 3 i weren't premade with were all 0-6-0 or worse at this stage (around 15 minutes+) and had a very fast fluent stream of text spamming the chat box. Im not saying talking is bad but when it's so so much that they are standing still and dying, it's questionable which was the reason for my comment. As the only point we can agree on that it can be interpreted as negative this doesn't mean in any way that this is a fair mute. Saying that there is nothing fair about arguing with others doesn't make any sense at all. Context is literally half of the law and I can pretty confidently say if context is relevant for law I think it's a safe assumption to assume it should be relevant for any rules to any game or dispute.I never once suggested anything about looking at others case it's simply relevant to my own.About the one example point, you suggested there was more evidence but i was only given one example so I can't understand how being the most recent is relevant if examples are given quantities but not supplied in multiple.
