Is it too easy to get perma banned?

So about two days ago my account got perma banned after retaliating to hate speech with hate speech of my own. The other player reported me and my account has since been perma banned. It was only the second time ive ever recieved any punishment on the game. My first punishment was a suspension for a inappropriate name that got dealt with rather quickly and this was back in 2015. There hasn’t been a single incident since but instead of getting a warning or a chat ban or anything of the sort I just got flat out perma banned. So back to the question at hand.

Also if anyone knows any way I can get it reversed then please let me kno

My researched understanding of the system is that you cannot receive a behavioral permanent ban for a chat offense unless you've already had a 14-day ban, and the 14-day ban must be somewhat recent. You're a somewhat infrequent player, so I can't just point out a 14-day gap in your history and call you a liar.

If you're being straight with us, you should open a support ticket. Your story, taken at face value, should end with you receiving a 14-day ban and being on your last chance, not a perma.

It's actually pretty hard.

Riot takes hate speech very seriously, it's kind of equivalent to murder in real life, hence the harsh punishment.

It's too easy not to. All you gotta do is:

Don't be toxic
Don't respond to toxicity
Play the game until it ends (don't troll, AFK, or intentionally feed)

And even if you do all 3 of those things consistently in every game you play, it will still take you over a month to be permabanned. If I were in charge of it, trolling and inting would be instant permaban. AFK can be forgivable, but if you were displaying toxicity in chat and it was obvious that you rage quit instead of just having internet problems, you shouldn't get any leniency. Minimum of a 1 month ban, possibly a permaban. If it seems like it could have just been internet problems (and Riot can probably put systems in place to track internet usage on your computer), then it's a bit more forgivable with just some low priority queues. I don't think you should be permanently banned for going AFK because your internet cut out. However, doing so in ranked, even with just internet problems, should be harsher punishment than in normal games.

If you haven't had any punishments since your suspension 2-3 years ago (and if you have played consistently since then) then it seems kind of unusual to get a permanent ban.

Your best bet would be to submit a polite support ticket asking why you were escalated straight to perma when you hadn't had any other recent punishments. They might lower the restriction.

Just do your best to be open and polite, that's the most likely way to be listened to by them.

While it may or may not be too easy to be permabanned generally, in the case of hate speech immediate banning is most certainly called for.

I think only those who have been permabanned are gonna say its too easy... and the rest of us (most people) have no idea, because weve never been permabanned. All i can say is its been easy to not get banned... or punished in any way really.

Dont listen to those fucking %%%s and sjw's who are sucking riots ass thinking that they'll gain something out of it. Yes, riot bans quite easily and it's a scheme from the higher ups to get more money out of us, I had a 14 day ban 2 YEAAAAAAAARS ago and only recently I was banned for retaliating to multiple offenders AND MIND YOU I DIDNT USED A SINGLE SWEAR WORD. I just took one sentence a spammed it a few times , I also made a post about it and linked the whole chat. Truthfully the guys bellow are pieces of shit and there is no way to reason with them, tell them to fuck off and get away from this game as soon as possible, dont waste your good money on this fascist SJW-like company, every1 is a piece of shit I assure you. I had a riot employee telling me that he knows judo and he'll kick my ass and things like that .
