I got called a %%%%%% and received a 14 day ban

So this is not really a post about getting unbanned blabla I'm just curious what you guys think, do I deserve a 14 day ban for what I am about to share. Obviously I wasn't completely clean, I used a vulgar word "r e**rd" and called the teammate idiot, although this was all after being taunted, provoked and called an idiot, %%%%%% was told to shut up etc.

Yes I should've kept cool but I couldn't. midlaner ahri was trolling ingame (you know constantly pinging, refusing to give info, being a bad teammate on purpose to taunt me) You know the usual.

Anyway, I personally think that this ban was kinda off and the reason I'm writing here is because I want to know if my opinion is waay of, and I should shut up. Or if this was kinda meh, either way I won't really do much but try to appeal with a ticket.

anyways, here is the only chatlog i was provided.

Yes i should've kept track on the minimap but what are teammates for. dindu noffin: wp grag dindu noffin: looks like ur gonna have to carry this trash ahri dindu noffin: ok, gj ahri dindu noffin: that was nice dindu noffin: asshole <-- this what i responded with to "shut up %%%%%%" dindu noffin: another failed miss dindu noffin: the fun thing about you zed is dindu noffin: if i dont risk and shoot my R before u ult dindu noffin: i die before i can ult u anyway xD dindu noffin: so unless my team helps me im done dindu noffin: ahri just permafglaming me dindu noffin: last thing you said to me was "shut up %%%%%%" after I said Gj! dindu noffin: so she didnt tell me to shut up %%%%%%? and constantly calling botlane idiots? dindu noffin: we can do nash dindu noffin: raka is here

all the nice comments were genuine, not sarcastic.

Also what tilted me a lot was that Irelia was "covering" for ahri, lying about her not calling me a %%%%%% etc.

anyways. I just wanted to see what the community thinks, should i have been banned? If yes I don't really object strongly. I don't have the energy to steamroll anti ban here. Just curious if I think completely different compared to the community.

You repeated hate speech and were toxic in your own right.

As others have said, repeating something that you know is toxic only opens you up to being reported yourself. Don't repeat what others say - if they break the rules, report them.

This, also, is hate speech of your own, and while I'm not sure if it's treated 100% with zero tolerance, I would personally say that even without your repeating another person's hate speech, this should merit the 14-day ban.

Additionally, if you have to add commentary to your logs to try and give "context" to specific parts of it, that should be a pretty big sign that you know you broke the rules, and need to try and excuse yourself of doing so. Case and point, the lines that have your commentary;

dindu noffin: idiot ahri

dindu noffin: R%%%%% MID

dindu noffin: asshole

All are visibly rule-breaks. Insults and hate speech aren't welcome, and there's no "context" you can give that would change that.

Here's where you went wrong - repeating what they said. This is one of the few cases where you can try and make a support ticket and see if they'll overturn or reduce the ban.

You can try to file a support ticket and have the punishment reduced but there's a low chance of that happening. Zero-tolerance means zero-tolerance.

In the future, just mute & report. There's no need to go back and forth with your teammates, it doesn't solve anything and means you have the added possibility of being punished.
