2-week ban justified for reasons other than what the ban was for

So recently I was instantly given a 2 week ban right after getting out of a game with a guy that decided he had enough and was as he said "afk'king %%%gots." I made the mistake of quoting this in all chat and asking for a report. This triggered the system and me being fresh off a 25 game chat restriction was slapped with this. To explain why I quoted it in all chat: DC's happen. But this one was obviously spiteful and he used a homophobic slur. I was letting the enemy know that hey he isn't just having internet issues he's actually upset and purposely left. I was recently coming off a 25 game chat restriction (deserved). I was watching what I was saying to people and making sure I didn't cross the line so this insta 2 week ban seemed like a mistake. I opened a ticket, explained all this and the ban was upheld for other toxicity i displayed as Borrower states. I can understand their side. I wasn't being the perfect summoner and need to learn to just not type back to people. But, I don't think anything else I said was deserving of a 2 week ban. I should've worded why I wasn't going to step foot in a fed draven's lane better but I was frustrated with how the game was going and why the only lane arguing and being toxic felt they should request the jungle camp there lane. I'm also fairly certain the afk'ing player and there duo reported me because they were both coming at me pretty hard in game chat while I kept my cool and tried to tell her her reasons for saying what she said are wrong. Am I wrong in thinking this is unjust? If someone else from the support team could give me some insight on how these things work and how to avoid this in the future that'd be awesome. Thanks.

No, he should have not. 1 report = 9 reports so it makes no difference. It would have been better to not say anything and just report at the end of the game and get them banned.

Yes in hindsight I shouldn't have quoted it but I wasn't really thinking about the automated system or even the chance of being banned for it. Just sucks that now they plan on sticking to it because they think I shouldn't have said why i wasn't going to gank bot lmao. I also am pretty aware Borrower has had some controversial bans recently, some that have been overturned. I was hoping to get another opinion so it feels like I might have to open a new ticket and hope for a more understanding rioter.

I'd like to see your source for Borrower having "controversial bans". Further, as you had just come off a chat restriction, it's not a question of if your behavior merits a ban, it's a question of if your behavior merits another punishment.

I think Borrower explained why your other behavior was unacceptable as well.

https://twitter.com/RisenLazarus/status/904469739430432769 she issued this perma and it was overturned by another rioter. I don't think anything else I said would've resulted in the next step up. It was clearly triggered by the quoting of the slur.

First, let's get one thing clear, suspensions are mostly issued by the instant feedback system, and as such, Rioters don't tend to "issue" suspensions so much as review them.

Secondly, keep in mind the case you link is an extremely rare case where the IFS actually made an error, and it took a larger portion of the PB team reviewing the case to determine. This was an extremely edge case where "the ban was deserved, and the only reason it was lifted is because the specific game that triggered the punishment escalation fell short of truly punishable behavior." (according to CLG Lazarus themselves).

In this case, Lazarus also states "that does not mean that a decision to keep me banned would be "wrong."". He fully accepts that Borrower was not incorrect in choosing, based on their interpretation of the chat logs, to keep the punishment. Note that, again, it was a decision of the whole team in this case to rescind the ban, as the chat log for one of the games was barely short of punishable. To me, that honestly means that the PB team thought they'd give Lazarus one more chance. Whatever anyone else says, I feel like this was a personable exception - made specifically for Lazarus based on past behavior, improvements, and the fact that they are popular with certain PB team members.

I am not saying PB team was incorrect to rescind the ban, but only am trying to explain why this is not a good example of a permanent ban being upheld by Borrower incorrectly.

Try to contact the support and explain the situation .... prob they won't help you at all, but it's still better then doing nothing. The way from a 14D Ban to a Permanent one it's very short

I got perma banned for tilting our yasuo i said dont go in against ornn and that u are bad then hes friend ashe started flameing and after game they grouped and reported me i went to support already but ik there is bot going to answer

Since you were on a 25 chat restriction just recently and still did not change your behavior, your ban is justified.

how didn't i change? and how would you know? I would've been a lot more argumentative had i not been trying to keep my mouth shut more. My main point is it was triggered off me quoting and she says that wasn't what the ban was for. that's a flat out lie. and they plan on upholding it because off other things I said that are pretty weak for a 2 week.

You still show negative behavior although you have been chat restricted. You should just refrain from saying unnecessary comments ingame. While you write you dont fully focus on your game.

Usually, if you say a homophobic slur, you skip a punishment tier. Since you did not skip a tier, I think you were punished for the other things.

It was a automated trigger instantly after the game. It was not for the other things i said.
