There should be extremely harsh punishments for players that AFK in ranked. In one of my recent games, I had a team mate that AFK'd for 18 (roughly) minutes in a game that lasted 22 minutes.
Riot, please give harsh punishments to players that AFK/DC in ranked games. Maybe lock their ranked queue for a day each time they AFK in a ranked game. Something like that... This is ridiculous. Also, my friend was in his promos. Not cool..
Problem is that some people have internet and then they would be falsely punished just because wind happens to break a line. This happend to me recently when I was forced to AFK in a ranked game because my internet completely shut off and did not come back till the next day afternoon. I agree that people who rage quit or AFK to troll should be harshly punished, but there are just too many games happening for riot to monitor each and every one.
TL; DR: Bad weather is the source of all evil.
