Ranked wins only happen consistently in the morning?

Yes I have checked this over years of ranked.

If I play before work, so 7 or 8 am, then I generally get a team that's cohesive and is made of at least ok players.

Yet if I dare play any time after morning, I get either afk's, flamers, trolls or intentional feeders.

Consistently.

I can't always play in the morning, so this means I rank up SUPER slowly. And then whenever I play in the afternoon or night, it's a 25% chance of winning, at best.

Is it all the serious people that play ranked in the morning? Is it all the aggro kids that need more physical discipline that get on LoL in the afternoon?

So many questions.

Such a horrible player experience.

Anyone else sense this discrepency?

The pattern I've seen lately has been that playing right after I get home from work on weekdays has had pretty good results. But if it pushes too late into the evenings, things start going downhill. And weekends tend to be a total crap-shoot.

different schedules for different folks...most people maintain a similar schedule for long periods of time. apparently the crowd in the am is less salty, potentially due to most of them not being the kids that just got out of school or cranky adults that are tired and have no energy left for anything else so they crank out on their team mates. hypothesis only, no data.

I don't want to say they all act like this

But there is a noticeable change in the type of randoms I get when the school day ends on the east coast.

There was a study done somewhere I can't find that found a correlation between increased negative behavior (measured in afks and ratio of reports to honors given and recieved) and younger age reported at registration

A few of my theories, in descending order of likelihood:

  1. Early risers and morning people who have an established routine are generally in higher spirits than people who come home from school or work and are looking to forget the day.

  2. There is a noticeable correlation between immaturity and a lack of social skills, and the closer you get to 3:00pm in your time zone, the more school age kids there will be online.

  3. The longer you play this game (or most multiplayer games) without breaks the more on edge you feel, and the later in the day you go the more people there will be marathoning their sessions.

I also wanted to take a second to say that just because someone is younger doesn't automatically mean they are socially inept. Teamwork and cooperation are skills that need to be developed, and most people I've met don't truly start developing them until they get thrown into a crucible. Some people meet their challenge early, but they are exceptions rather than the norm.

I feel that I win more in the morning also.

i feel that I live in New England and I find I'm most successful in ranked between 8am and 12pm. and it's not that i get flaming or afk people in the afternoon/evening but they just seem less competent. though dinner hours seem to have more afks.

I found the players to be far more reasonable and intelligent in the morning. Especially during the week. I have almost quit playing ranked on the weekends because of all the shenanigans from children.

You play better when you're rested and also most children are at school at that time.

Feel like torturing yourself? Play right after Dinner time on a school night, and witness all the children in League getting their 1 game a night after Dinner. You will wish you never played League of Legends

Weird how I feel I win more consistently in the morning as well.... So weird. I'm guessing cause all the premades aren't together yet, and who knows what other factors go on.

I tend to agree, sadly I got trolled again. So no ranked this morning:

17 Game Janna 70% winrate, 17 Game Karma 70% winrate, Troll goes Fiddle Support. Please Advise. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/5oe1oQ3v-17-game-janna-70-winrate-17-game-karma-70-winrate-troll-goes-fiddle-support-please-advise

I'll just throw this one out there. Drugs while the sun comes up changes things. Lunch time is usually 24 hour mark.
