Why is the PBE such a cesspool? (And some ideas to fix it?)

TLDR people are really fucking toxic in PBE and I think either opening a tribunal or increasing bans in the PBE will help things improve dramatically also please give us draft?

One players behavior will often affect other players experiences negatively. Now there's no rule for just being genuinely bad at the game, and it'd be unfair to the spirit of the PBE to restrict access to the PBE for simply not being good at the game. The input of a bronze player, is at its core, in regards to game design, as important as a high elo player (assuming that their arguments and complaints are well articulated.)

But I'm not talking about people being bad in the PBE. I'm talking about people treating the PBE like it's their own personal sandbox. And with the plethora of negative players ive seen, its not a sandbox anymore, its just a box full of cat doodoo.

And when I say Negative Players (tm) i'm being very forgiving.

On NA live an average negative player will say you suck, flame you, and maybe spam pings. Doesn't help anyone and its #toxic but it doesnt obstruct much since the player can simply mute them, and continue playing.

However the PBE has a different purpose, while testing and tweaking game mechanics can be fun, its supposed to be 1) work, 2) a privilege. The PBE is more exclusive than live, since in live any regular old joe can keep an account, but will be restricted access if theyre a meanie butt.

However on the PBE it seems to currently be the opposite. Players are given acces after an application process, and despite being exceptionally toxic (Death threats, racial slurs, jokes about slavery, genocide, homophobia) arent being punished. People who actively go against the ettiquite of "well he called mid first so I'll jsut do something else" instead they auto lock, and very often feed. (almost seems intentional some times)

This has made it really hard for me, and other players to use the PBE for its intended purpose. Only so much number crunching can be done for a champion, item, and so on and so forth, when theres a 2/16 veigar running around, or a draven calling you a ****** ***.

Now how would I propose to get rid of most if not all of this silly nicker twisting wart bottoms?

Re-open peer reviewed bans. If a person gets a certain amount of reports, make their chat logs visible in a Tribunal. I know the tribunal used to be a thing in previous seasons but its just far too large to sustain for NA and the other servers, but the PBE is just small enough for players to be able to say "Ok we're tired of t2g Deadpool auto locking darius top, feeding 10 kills, getting 4 cs and calling is "Idots" we want him gone.

Because the PBE is so small I played 5 games (Some with soem against) the same user today, without being on their friends list.

So please let us vote to remove toxicity, it'll give players a sense of purpose, and lighten the work load for riot employees.

ALso

Draft mode holy shit please

80% of the discourse in PBE comes from people argueing over their picks, straight up stealing roles, and the issues that come immediately after. I dont know how you want me to look for bugs in a new skin when I'm fighting some guy from Turkey over the role (even when everyone says "Hey hey mr gobble this guy got mid)

I am currently compiling a video collection of people being as toxic as i've claimed, I myself have lost my head, and while it may be unprofessional to say, call someone a butt monkey, its a whole lot less worse than callin someone the n-word :)

PLease

The real question is why the F*ck are people even raging or bitching in PBE? It doesn't record rank matches it's usually a place for people to play new champion or try out new skin for fun.

Just throwing ideas in the wind.

Unique rules for PBE. Custom games only and everyone can play the same champion.

I used to do all my personal testing in a custom game. That way I'm not bothering anyone with my annoyingly slow math skills.

Since it is a test environment, having multiple instances of the same champion in a game would increase data.
