So THIS is worth a permaban lately??

Hello,

So today i recieved a permaban, which considering what i get banned for i find highly qeustionable and borderline crazy.

here are the logs:

The only 2 things aimed at another player where the words retard in game 1 and 2, the part about me proclaiming stuff to be bullshit was where i couldnt kill the red buff as jungler somehow and made it out with less then 15 HP ( yeah i know i suck lol)

so it seems that in a "community" filled with people who fling around insults like %%%got, get cancer, and serious death wishes, the word retard is worth a perma suspension...........

it seems that riot prefers to ban people who say retards, instead of doing something about the people that either enable, or are the origin of making others toxic ( and no, i do not consider using the word retards toxic enough to be banned AT ALL, not in a community where various other real and harsh insults seem to slip by unnoitced) it seems you are an awesome player according to riot if you run circles around minions for 25 minutes, spam pings all over the map till you are locked out for a few seconds, to start it again as soon as you can, while not saying anything in chat, but at the same time pissing off 4 other players by your behavior....well sorry riot, but those are the people you should punish, not the people that get fed up with it and say something in chat about it.

either root out the cause, or dont bother at all, but this half/half work you are doing is very distastefull to long term players.

so yeah, just letting you guys know that riot is on a bann happy spree for small words....

Yes, that is 100% perma-ban worthy.

Especially when you take into account that you continued with this type of behavior after being warned with a 10-game chat restriction, a 25-game chat restriction and a 14-day ban. You were given numerous chances to change your behavior, but insisted on ruining the game for others.

You need to remember that this is a video game, and it should be fun. Every time you behave like this in game you ruin the game for 9 other people. You being rightfully banned is hardly a ban happy spree for small words.

I know you can probably say it looks worse than it is, because they're all together, some of these things sound pretty bad and you should probably be punished for saying it... especially when you call your teammates retards. That's not productive, it's annoying, and to some people it's really offensive.

Honestly, I don't get to bent out of shape over that word... I just report people when they get toxic af. Also, I hate when people say gg when the game is far from over. I don't know the context, but in ranked it gets on my nerves... a lot.

You're very negative, berating teammates, and not being a team player. None of this helps in any way to contribute to a win at all. It certainly is punishment worthy.

Emphasis on punishment, because the permaban is a culmination of several punishments after showing a long pattern of poor behavior in games. You weren't permabanned specifically for what you said in these logs, so saying that the logs are "permaban worthy" is misleading. You were punished, yes. And you happened to be at a point where your next punishment level was a permaban.

That's how the system works. Your first punishment is a 10-game chat restriction. Then a 25-game restriction, and then a 14-day ban. If you don't get the hint by then and are still causing problems, the next punishment is a permaban.

So had you only done what was showed in the chat logs posted, having never received a punishment by the system before? Certainly, these shouldn't have granted a permaban. None of this is bad enough to be skipping the lower punishments and jumping right to a permanent ban. It would have only been a 10-game chat restriction in this case. But, since you'd climbed through the punishment tiers already, you received a permaban.

It is not just the word retard it is the entire tone of the chat log.

You are belittling, agressive, and mean spirited.

You started telling everone gg like 12 minutes into a match. You then said you were going afk and to basically suck it because as you had a team of retards. You can substitute retard for idiots or any other word you like it still sucks, because you ruined the game for everyone else.

Now you know I have given up before 20 minutes and told my team I was giving up, but have never gotten a chat ban. You know why? Because in the year I have been playing I have only lost it like 3 times and when I did lose it I never blamed my team. The rest of the time I am a very pleasant team mate. You on the other hand have had numerous restrictions and warnings which means those chat logs is indicative of your behavior.

You need to take a moment and self reflect on your need to act like a troll? Do you act this way in RL or only in an environment where people don't know you?

This is where you begin to veer off course. It's giving up, it's blaming a player instead kf being constructive, and it'sbringing a negative attitude into the team's experience. When this sort of thing happens be encouraging and constructive, not negative.

This is now bannable. Contrary to the opinion of some (yourself included), "retard" has two major definitions: the actual one (to delay or slow progress) and the slang / offensive one, which can apply to actions or people. There are no other valid uses: check a dictionary, or Google. If you're not referring to a slowing of progress, you're using the insulting use of the word.

Further bannable now. AFKing is bannable, has been for a while, and won't cease to be.

Finally, Riot has stated you've been warned or punished no less than three times previously. That should have been a strong indication that your behavior is unacceptable.

Ban deserved. Not as instantaneously or egregiously as some of the hate speech or threats I've seen, but you also received plenty of chances and warnings along the way. The system is working as intended.

This is why you were banned. Not JUST because you called someone a retard, but you are negative, down on your teammates, insulting, and fatalistic. You keep calling people retards, you keep saying you are done, you keep saying forfeit.

Can you imagine what it would be like if YOU didn't think you were losing but had someone on your team who talked like that?

I wouldn't want to play with someone who calls their teammates retards and gets warned, chat restricted, and banned repeatedly. Glad to see you're permabanned.
