New type of trolling

So I came across a new type of trolling today. A person wanted to get S tokens so they made the game last twice as long, so they could farm more.

We had a 14k gold lead by the 27min mark at which point our 3/3 adc just stopped grouping and farmed ours/the enemy jungle. For 20min straight she didn't fight, push, or help anyone. She only farmed jungle creeps. When asked what she was doing, she only replied "no red and not s." At one point we had all three inhibs down and were fighting 4v5 in the enemy base meanwhile she was clearing our blue side jungle. At some points she would just run at the enemy team to feed some kills/get them back into the game.

She ended the game with an S ranking mostly due to her 370+ cs score. 200 of which were jungle creeps.

This has got to be the weirdest type of boosting I've seen in a while. Can something been done about this person to stop this?

I KNEW IT I FUKING KNEW IT Literally from half a year ago I have been saying this dumb system overweights cs way too much, nobody gave a shit, and now it's causing some REAL problems.

When we had all 3 inhibs down I thought we would have won but her premade stopped grouping as well.

Lol damn. I'm surprised she got an S if she intentionally died a few times. That's fucked up.

Going to try and remember this thread the next time somebody suggests basing ranked on individual performance... It's a tricky grey zone as to whether or not it is griefing (as the intention is not to outright lose the game), but it absolutely is unsportsmanlike and should be reported as such. That said, I think the category is less important in this case, what's important is that you put in a detailed comment as to what was happening.

I'm sure Riot already knows about this negative behaviour pattern, but I'm not sure whether they can already automatically detect it. So adding a very clear comment helps Riot gather more examples manually to feed into their automated system, so the detection becomes better.

Rule of thumb: The more certain you are that somebody will get away with doing something obviously against the spirit of the game, the more important it is to report them with a comment explaining exactly why you reported them.

It's not new, it's considered being unsportsmanlike. Inciting a delay or a stall can lead to Posts like yours, salt and gives to a bad example.

Now i dont know if it actually works, to stall or prolong a game and get a better rank or points. But i assume it this happens and if detected early, your team should surrender.

No one wants to get stomped, but knowing your going to be stomped for another 10-20 minutes is just torture and can be grieving.

Surrender and report for unsportsmanlike behavior.

I suggest to take break for 5-10 minutes before finding another game to reduce the chance of repeated players.

yeah ive seen this before. recently i was in a winning ranked game but our adc and top refused to end saying they needed more cs to score S. the other team nearly came back and won.

I've seen this happen a lot. If you call these types of players out normally they don't respond at all or they talk down to you claiming to be a smurf etc etc

Blame bronze kids. Riot had to put in something dumb to raise bad players self esteem.

Now we get ks soraka going for s plus.
