Why I got banned

Alright so before I begin, I'd like to say that I probably did deserve to get banned or punished for my behavior. I got banned because after several reports and finally after one game where I solo queued up with a 4 man party, I got 4 reports from them and got banned. I find it stupid to be at the mercy of a 4 man party because your 1 report to them wont do anything unless they are reported in other games prior or after your game with them. It felt as if, if I didn't do what they told me and filled a role they didn't want, I was going to get flamed and reported. Naturally, most people wouldn't want to respect someone or people treating you like that. But the way the tribunal system works is as if you have to suck it up and either ignore/mute them or say nothing at all. I find that isn't really a solution as when you ignore someone they can still trigger or troll you by doing things in game that aren't really trackable when reported such as using summoners for no reason and dieing but pretending as if they weren't feeding but rather just thought they could actually get a kill when they are clearly under leveled or less farmed up. They could just blame lag even if they aren't really lagging and stand still to feed. So muting someone works in game sometimes, but not all the time and not in real life. Getting to the point to all this is I probably deserved getting banned from negative behavior I displayed from previous games. But I finished playing the required amount of games to lose chat restriction and then this game happens and I get instantly banned because I was previously reported in games before I became chat restricted. Meaning I got reported already, became chat restricted, played 20 or so games to lose chat restriction and then get banned after that one game with the 4 man party after I just lost my chat restriction. My point for this thread is that I want to know where exactly did I say something that made me worthy of getting banned? Please tell me because I feel like the tribunal just wants you to say nothing at all and take all the verbal abuse from other players before muting them. I copied this text from the tribunal report as this was the only reason why I got banned after I lost my chat restriction.Please read and tell me where in the chat did I say something worth getting banned? Also, if the tribunal actually sent me what the other 4 said in the chat, you would probably feel different about what I said in my chat log. At the beginning of the game, I merely was trying to tell the team the miscommunication in champ select while they were just saying "report ezreal". Anyway I've learned my lesson and that is to say nothing at all when others say something negative to me and just ignore them. There really is no point in arguing because whether you are right or wrong you get reported and sent to tribunal. Tribunal doesn't care who is right or wrong, or who is the victim of verbal abuse and why they in turn become negative. This is Justice.

Its not by report, but the frequency of reports over time. Them spam reporting you does nothing, but consistently being reported by players over many games will get you banned. If theyre talking mad shit, why the hell are you giving them the satisfaction? Just mute them and move on

Incorrect. That will only get you reviewed.

You only get punished if the review finds something punishable.

Well you get the idea. Being spam reported wont get you auto banned like some people believe

I know, but you kinda have to be careful about wording. Many of the players posting their punishments are either looking for excuses or don't know enough about how the system works that they might take the wrong info to heart.

Yea I was stupid, I'm going to just not say anything anymore because it's not worth it whether they are wrong or not. I just find it unfair because I had to get rid of 2 chat restrictions playing 20 or 30 games and within those games I probably only got heated 1 or 2 times out of them all. And I feel my being banned was only justified because of me getting reported from games that were 50 games ago. Several days or weeks ago. Multiple reports do make a person go into tribunal I feel such as when me and a huge majority of both enemy and ally teammates reported one person for trolling and being toxic, we get an instant feedback shortly after the game that the person was punished.

you are partially correct.

it is a 4-tier punishment system now;

  1. 10 game chat restrict
  2. 25 game chat restrict
  3. 14-day ban
  4. permaban

so yes, yo are getting a 14-day ban because you were on the 3rd punishment tier.

Where you are mistaken is that it takes 3 months of playing games to drop a punishment tier, not 20-30 games.

Finally, group reports really don't send you into the punishment. those group reports will be validated first, if found guilty, that is when your account is dinged for punishment.

If you didn't give the system a valid reason to punish you, those reports will be thrown out.

but of course, there was a valid reason in this chatlog to have you punished. so those group reports did indeed get you punished.

Okay thanks, that does clarify a lot. I just think since I was already punished twice within 3 months and I've already played all the game requirements to lose chat restriction, I just wanna know if the previous game in chats could be used against me in the third tribunal case for me? If so, I think that's unfair as I've already been punished for those games yet I am getting punished again for the previous games and not the current one. If old games where I was guilty and already been punished for cannot be used in a new tribunal case, then what I want to know is where in the chat that I provided did I deem myself worthy of being banned or punished at all? I'm not saying I was an angel but I find I was merely trying to defend myself for the most part in the chat where I was found to be guilty. I understand my own tribunal case does not have anything to do with other people and what they say, but if you were to compare what I said in the chat I provided versus things other people say such as "report ezreal". "ezreal gives me cancer". "ezreal basically jeopardized our game"; I just find that what I have said is not as bad in my opinion compared to a lot of things people say in league. I really want the tribunal to point out exact words that I said that made me worthy of punishment. But then I can't contact them so I put it here for others to give their opinion. Please do quote lines that I've said that would make me get punished so I don't say it in future games thank you. Again, the chat of why I got banned is in the description and is exactly all that the tribunal has sent me telling me why I got banned. Thank you very much for reading and your feedbacks

You don't have to read it but it's mainly long because I posted the in game chat of why I was banned since that's what tribunal sent me as their evidence of why I am being punished. It probably would be a page long if I didn't post the chat.

Group reports are meaningless. It does not matter how many people report one person in a single game.

Well you can check with this one site I forgot, but I didnt use that site. I knew they were 4 man party because they were all in the same club and had the same club tag. It shows up next to their names

Well it's only an assumption. But at least 3 out of the four must have reported me as their top laner said nothing the whole game. The only ones who were mainly flaming me was the ekko who went mid, varus who went bot, and soraka who was supposedly jarvan till the last 10 seconds of champ select switching to soraka. Also I would know at least 3 if not 4 people had to report me because I've done worse in the past like a season or two ago, where I've said terrible things out of frustration, and only one person reported me and I was not punished. But at times when multiple people report one person, it's more likely you get a notification telling you thanks for reporting someone toxic in the game as that person has been punished. When I report just one person and no one else cares to report them, usually that person doesn't get in trouble right away because they don't automatically go into tribunal.

They can gang up on you in game, yes, but there's nothing they can do to get you punished by Riot unless you react. Even if the entirety of both teams report you, it doesn't count against you any more than a single report, so their being a premade doesn't affect that part.

I understand you. But I really understand the tribunal system now because it seems as if you just have to ignore and say nothing at all in the chat. That is what I plan to do from now on. Say nothing at all. But them being premade and having several reports on you does affect the fact that I got sent into the tribunal faster because of multiple reports and then I feel I got in trouble for chats 50 games ago which was days or weeks ago already. And I already got chat restricted for those reasons twice and played the amount of games to lose chat restriction already. But it just felt like even tho I served my time for those games, I got banned because of those past games that I already got punished for. It's like if you stole an apple once and took the punishment, and then some random group comes by and reports you, then the fact that you stole an apple in the past makes you guilty whenever anyone reports you afterwards even if you already paid for your crime. You get me?
