Bronze 5 promos

so I hate to really ask this because I imagine the salt will be real. Why is it when the enemy team told my team it was my bronze promos my team went from doing ok. To going 4/12/0 while i'm teemo sitting up top against a fed bard, Orianna, Yi, and a very mad gnar? did my team simply lack the map awareness to help? Did they assume that I was just some teemo troll because I was top playing safe and going 0/0/0? Should I have tried to counter the gnar more even though he could kite wwith his q's longer range? I am a teemo main and not because I think he's the best champ. I've tried other champs heck I have mastery 7 with illaoi in mid lane. I am a teemo main because I love when the enemy team gets salty and they lose to tilt. So what can I do to try and get better to make it so that I don't get slammed top 4v1 by my opponent and 3 fed maniacs coming for my tower?

edit: i can only blame myself for being not good enough when top mid jg combined 2/24, im just not good enough.(from a bot lane perspective).

The problem with playing teemo is that it is more likely to tilt YOUR team than to tilt the opposing team. If you're going even with gnar, then you're actually losing as the game scales to the late game. The reason is because gnar offers a lot more team fight potential, utility/cc, and tankiness than teemo does. Shrooms are no longer good for controlling baron as the rift scuttler can pop all of them before the minefield becomes useful.

I hate seeing a teemo locked in on my team. You should main another champion as you are probably unintentionally tiliting your own team.

Teemo I also forgot to ask how long tilt should last because I woke up this morning after my promos failed last night and blinked. When I opened my eyes I was so tilted I was on my head instead of sitting.
