14 Day Suspension for Insulting Teammates in a 5 Person Queue

I'm writing to get your guys' opinions on something. Just a few hours ago, I received a 14 day ban for messing around with four of my friends in a draft pick game, three of which I was on a voice call with. One of my friends on the call ended up leaving the game early, and in the League team chat we all started jokingly flaming him (so that the guy not on the voice call could join in). I insulted him the hardest by far, but I thought I would be fine because we were all friends, we were all fine with it, and we were only typing in team chat. The game continued on, and pretty soon after we finished I received a 14 day suspension notification. The reason was for inappropriate chat messages, and the chat logs showed the ones from the game we just played. None of my friends reported me, and I'm 99% sure that I didn't send any messages in all chat. I also didn't feed/int that game (I actually did pretty well) and I've never gotten any sort of ban in the past. Do you think that I should have been banned for this, and do you think it's worth a shot for me to send in a support ticket? I can get all my friends to testify that they were fine with the messages.

Note: I'm not going to write what I said to my friend, because some of the stuff is probably too offensive to be written in here, but just know that it was pretty bad.

Thanks for reading my mini-story

Before I say anything: Zero tolerance means zero tolerance. Whether we agree with it or not (even in a closed setting such as the one you've described) Riot has made it clear that they don't want this chat in their game at any point.

I've seen this happen a few times with different results for each one. I'd recommend filing a support ticket (found right here) and describing the situation in detail. Provide any evidence if you have to. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do until you receive a reply on that ticket so you'll just have to be patient.

If all of your messages were in team, and none of your teammates reported you, a support ticket could potentially be useful.

After you make your ticket, have your 4 friends reference your ticket number and create their own tickets to support your story. All 4 of them will have to complete this step. If any of your friends reported you "as a joke", then it's not worth the effort to try to contest it.

If you were given a chat log, you were punished for your chat and not for griefing.

This thread is the closest thing I can find that is similar to your case.

But the scenario in that thread was the OP got his permaban drop down to a 14-day ban, so not sure if you can do anything here, since your punishment is a 14-day ban.

If you were like good luck have fun guys let's do our best and they were insulted by that then it would be unreasonable because, let's be honest, most of the people reporting or getting upset in the first place just have the toxic attitudes themselves but if you actually said nasty stuff what's the problem? We must always be laid back, kind and confident...

An enemy probably randomly reported you, as many do. Thats some shit. Send in a support ticket explaining in as much detail as possible. Dont get your hopes up though :/
