I was just chat restricted for calling someone "idiot" after I pinged him that the enemy jungle was invading 1 minute in, not moving and letting them kill him. He then proceeds to say that I'm "flaming" for calling him out on his death, which could have been avoided since I gave him many pings telling him they were their. He then proclaimed that I was inting because was ganked when I did not have vision of the bottom bush in mid lane. It took him 23 minutes to use his first ult, and he waited until after everyone on their team regained their health to do so. Our Sion (someone I was in discord with) also voiced that this was a bad decision. Our Pyke in the bot lane wanted to tell him to start using his ult, but he ended up muting our team so that he couldn't see anyones messages, which made everyone else on our team mad. After the game was over, I said gg and went to the next game, only to find out I am chat restricted, and it didn't even say what for. All he did was say that I was toxic for telling him that he was dumb for dying because he didn't listen to teammates, something he didn't do for the entire rest of the game.

He's either a bad player or a troll.

If he's a bad player, you flamed your teammate for performing badly. This is poor sportsmanship and unhelpful, serving only to satisfy your own desire to make somebody feel bad. You're going to be let down by your teammates in roughly half the matches you play, so making a habit of this is pointless at best.

If he's a troll, you fed the troll. This actively encourages further trolling and rewards the bad behavior, hurting everybody involved except the troll themselves.

Just calling somebody an "idiot" once would usually not be enough to get a chat restriction, so feel free to post your logs.

Yeah.. all you said was "idiot"..... or maybe you spent almost the entirety of your game chat flaming another player.

because he was doing the same thing back to me. I have the other person in my discord who can vouch for it. He was saying that I was flaming early on, and I was responding to what he meant by it. He kept saying I was flaming, saying teh same thing over and over, so I kept saying the same thing. After he muted the chat, he didn't help team for the rest of the match, so I, along with my duo, reported him, and nothing happened.

So, calling someone out for dying isn't ok, but disregarding the rest of teh team late game is fine...

I'll admit I was wrong for calling idiot and dumb multiple times, but it's still wrong to just disregard the rest of your team and not help

You are judged on your own behavior, as is the other player. If he flamed you, or worse, you mute and report. If he doesn't help and just basically afks, then report him for that also. Someone else being an assclown doesn't give you a free pass to join the asshatery.

Luckily it was only a chat restriction, honor reset is annoying, but if you just mute the clowns from now on you'll be back where you were.

I didn't say they broke rules. I'm saying that they disregarded the team, which tilted everyone on our team, not just me. That's even shown in the chat late game. Again, I'll admit I was wrong, but still, so were they.

And again, I never said I didn't deserve getting chat restricted. I was saying that it's dumb that while what I did got me chat restricted, 3 other people reported him for what he did and nothing happened. That's what is dumb
