When is it ok to give up?

I just played yorick top, with a nunu supp on the team. the nunu raged on our adc alot and then went 0/3. after that nunu went top and just stood afk in bursh for 3min solid. after that she just did a mix of inting and taxing only in the toplane. now i got suspended for the first timew cause i flamed the nunu. Also i dont have any other bans in all the time ive played this game, and ive not flamed, in the past games. So its never ok too give up? even with that kind of a teammate?

You signed up to play a full match of League of Legends, from the moment you spawn in to the moment a Nexus explodes. The following are the only four reasons you should be allowed to leave a match of League of Legends:

Your Nexus explodes.
Your enemies' Nexus explodes.
Your team Surrenders.
Your enemy Surrenders.

If none of those things happen, you are obligated to keep playing to the best of your ability.

And, as Venompaw said, flaming isn't acceptable, regardless of circumstance. Doesn't matter if there's an intentional feeder, an AFK, a troll, or what have you. Just because others break the rules doesn't give you the freedom to do so yourself.

yea well you can say that pretty easily, and this is a fair statement if your left untoutched by the troll or feeder. but if they directly put you behind you cannot do anything. if they choose too tax you, you cant stay even with your opponent therefore you dont have the same chances of getting an impact. Also that dude will put you behind, which basicly makes it a 3v5. so you can only hold it for so long.

If you have a troll taxing your lane, stealing CS - get creative about dealing with them. Save up and buy a Relic Shield to secure a little more gold, or Ancient Coin if you don't expect to be able to hit anything or want mana conservation. Sure, if you can't kill minions as Yorick, you'll be practically unable to fight, but, still. If shit goes sour, you have to figure out how to play it out.

First off, if you're just going to ignore everything I say and pull a strawman on me, I'm not going to continue with this for long.

Second; You're expected to play the game out. You're not expected to win, you're just expected to play to win. If that means magically pulling a Trinity Force out of your ass, so be it, but you better have your wand ready and make sure you got the rabbit out of the way first.

I just gave you perfectly valid suggestions for how to circumvent the lane tax and maintain some reliable form of gold income. Advice which could actually put you in a position to make an impact despite the trolling Nunu. You may not win, but you'd at least still bounce back.

And, again; all of this is beside the point, which is you are not allowed to leave a match before either Nexus explodes, and you are not allowed to flame other players, regardless of circumstance. If you don't like it, them's the 8r8ks. When you play League, you play by League's rules, so if you don't like the rules, you're absolutely free to not play.

I never leave i got banned for saying kys to the nunu so after 3 years i got banned even though i did try. riot chose to not punish the nunu whatsover, if i had left i would have been punished less. cause riot prioritizes toxicity over leaving and trolling.

So essentially i got banned cause of toxicity in one game over 3 years of play while trolls dont get punished whatsover i give up you got me. i will get punished less for leaving.

Eugh. Don't pull that argument here. It's asinine and only makes you look worse than you actually are.

Nobody here is a saint. We all get pissed off at trolls the same as you do - the only difference is we keep it out of chat, and we play the game regardless.

lel dude nobody here is a saint, but if riot chooses to not prioritize punishing trolls and leavers, it just makes the game a big bait station, so giving up and just leaving seems heck of a lot better whenever i meet a troll. max punishment is 20min queue for a couple of games, i can play another game while waiting.
