Permaban over 3rd party program (havent played in 4 years)

So I finally decided to play LoL for old times sake since I haven't played in 3-4 years. Problem is when I finally downloaded and logged in I was permabanned for using a third party program even though the only one i've ever used back in the day was for cosmetics. I was enamored with the skins that fans had made at that time but either I got banned because of that or my account may have been hacked while I was gone. Should I give up and start fresh? Also support page seems to be broken for me and for some reason keeps refreshing like crazy. I'd be really grateful if someone could help.
