I was just bullied and punished for it

(This is a re-post to be put in the right location on the forums)

I had just started a game of league of legends. Level 7 or so elo so just getting started. I started off with a rengar in my lane and asked if I could cs. I gave me until 5 missed cs until he would start taking it all. So I decided to go elsewhere to farm as vayne. I was then "Treated" to my team taking my jungle, responding to themselves taking it towards me and insulting me. I tried to stay calm the entire game and let them know that what they were doing was bullying me and being generally rude for no reason. From what I know the only person I had interactions with was Diana who was on my team in my last game and even then I wasn't rude to her. I was bullied from the moment I was pushed from lane til even after the game was over in the end game screen. I tried to shake it off, during the game I muted them and tried to stay out of their way to keep my cool. I then reported them for hate speech and went on with my next game. I was then also "treated" to having my chat restricted from all chat and limited messages to my team.

Riot staff. I beg you to please fix this issue. I would also ask for you to not only fix my issue but be sure than this doesn't happen ever again. In a game where I am supposed to feel safe if I am kind to my team. In a game run by a company who PRIDES themselves on having justice for toxic behavior, this is not only unacceptable but also disgusting to have happen! I am almost as hurt by YOU then the three who bullied me when I had no reason to be bullied.

I've been slowly starting to regret even playing your game for these sole reasons. Shame on you..

I've played games on the internet since Vanilla World of Warcraft and was constantly bullied in school for being myself. I have tough skin. To actually be offended by toxic attitude is one big thing but to be punished for it is very very dumb.

yeah, their policies are to keep children sheltered from the harms of the real world, so if a game was easy for you, don't type "gg ez" in /all chat or riot will summoner 11 you

Then you know that anger just feeds the fire. Getting into a shouting match with someone doesn't help. It just encourages them to escalate to 'win'.

It wasn't a shouting match. It was 3 kids picking on another kid and the bullied kid trying to be respectful and keep his cool.

If you said anything in chat and got reported by multiple people, you will be chat restricted. You could have said you love unicorns and rainbows. It doesn't matter. Now bow before your robot overlord.

you should really stop spreading false info. esp to the new players.

You may have your own conspiracy theories due to you own punishment, but at least don't go spreading it around.

I would never know when multiple people decide to report me, even if I was doing bad and feeding.

I also only limit myself to gameplay related chat.

Never got a punishment.

Just an update. I just finished a game and was removed from the end game screen in the middle of reported an AFK player on my team. I logged back on to see I'm still chat restricted yet I was give an IP boost. This is not solved. I will stay on this post until my issue is resolved by authorities

Bruh, this is terrible logic instilled by overbearing authoritarian education. No one is going to help you beat up the people that made you upset because you said so.

You are being way too imposing and mad over games that don't really matter at all. Which is why you probably get reported by players. You're annoying them.

I can fill in the missing party: Rengar was rude for then first minutes then didn't say much. Lux was being very rude to me. Diana would take my jungle and would respond to it in chat, knowing she was doing something not kind. Jinx was the worst of the three offenders and would constantly take all of my jungle, pushed me out of jungle and would say "ty" upon stealing a camp from me.

Fighting fire with fire doesn't work. That's why. I see why you're chat restricted on a level seven account, now. You constantly used chat to complain and say "fyi" before stating something rudely. You typed each thought out instead of playing or adapting in that time; you were unsportsmanlike and were reported for it, along with the verbal abuse in the last message. Instead of yelling back, just stop chatting. Stop talking. Use pings. Use smart pings. If someone makes the game hell, adapt. Don't do to them what they do to you. That doesn't work. That makes you just as guilty as they are.

With the logic you're using against me would assume the three players on my team should be suspended from their account's. I guess time will tell to see if you're correct or just upset with me and using overbearing logic to play a sort of devil's advocate.

You can't do that. You cannot have a large ego in this game. You cannot play "devil's advocate" and instigate, as you did in the chat logs. You cannot complain and "argue/debate" over something in-game and not expect some type of reaction. You cannot play "devil's advocate" and expect to not be reported.

Something tells me that this isn't the first chat log that has gone this way; especially as a level seven account. I haven't had a chat restriction for a long awhile (I had an extremely stressful week the first year of league for me, which resulted in reports and a chat restriction for a few games.), which took quite a few reports and quite a few games of toxicity to even trigger.

This is light stuff, but enough for a first punishment. You respond with petty blaming and the last line didn't help. The mantra is 'mute, report, move on.'

But the fact that having to mute your teammates and removing almost all contact. HAVING to as no other option is quite upsetting.

well.. the visibility on Riot's behavioral could use some work, so you currently only see a punishment notification when the person is punsihed, and not while they are building a case towards them. But do keep reporting them, as if it worked for you, it'll work for them as well.

there is also no need to "defend" yourself, as false reports get thrown out. In fact, the best way to not see toxicity anymore is to mute them.

Finally the early levels are where you'll see the most toxicity. People that are temp / permaban need start up free alternative accounts and continue their toxic ways.

Unfortunately, a lot of the blunt is taken by the new players and makes their experience horrible. It is the downside of a free game afterall.

in regards to your chat restriction, it happens over a series of games and Riot uses a severity x consistency.

While this specific chat isn't overly severe in terms of toxicity, it is just one of the games shown as example back to you. There may be more clues of toxic behavior in your other chat logs.

but just a heads up, the following mild behavior can get you punished over a period of many games;

  • asking for reports
  • saying gg ez at the end game
  • calling out trolls
  • cursing / blaming others
  • ping spamming "?" or "!" on someone without proper gameplay reason
  • calling people trash
  • asking to surrender and giving up early

Bah u fucked up man :/ sucks but they consider you engaging with them and bitching about being starved as provoking. It's not a written rule that they have to give u cs and jg unfortunately :/ then you said you're reporting them and told them to stfu and grow the fuck up. Sorry but that's punishable just because riot doesn't want you to engage in arguements in the middle of a match. Also you said you're not playing with them? Does that mean you decided to do nothing? Like afk while moving around?

Riot is super strict about toxic bullshit because they want people to focus on the game, not on arguements with teammates. Just like you didn't want to be bullied... they don't want bullying to go on. And they sure don't want it to escalate by people arguing back to the bullies. Ignoring bullies online is so much different than in real life. They can't see the hurt on your face or your body language. You say nothing and they have no idea if they're affecting you or not... and it actually works pretty well. Usually when I get bitched at it only lasts for a minute because I don't respond and give them more fuel. They just shut up because they don't get the satisfaction of me coming back at em revealing my hurt feelings or frustration.

It sucks but that's the way riot does it and it's your responsibility to read the ToS and summoners code... which clearly states that retaliation is not accepted.

You wanting to know that they got the same punishment as you is understandable, but still petty. Just move on and don't focus on other people's lives. Who cares what happens to them, it won't effect you. You will continue playing and probably never see them again. And if you do see them again, it'll probably be long enough and amidst such a large population of players, that you probably won't even remember that person.
