Banning without context?

Teammate bans the character I shadow and trash talks me but I get banned for responding to his trash talk? Is this the kind of environment that you're trying to manifest Riot?

firstly, ban > pick, and while he is an incredible douche-bag for doing so he didn't actually break any rules unfortunately. i mean you can maybe call it harassment, but you actually have to prove he had the intent to troll, which would be nearly impossible, especially because people tend to ban the same champion every game.

the only rule that was broken however, was you flaming.

You don't get banned for on offense, period. This is just the straw that broke the camel's back. How about reflect on the trend that you have of "responding to trash talk" and just mute them next time instead of giving them the satisfaction of your ire. The kind of environment that Riot is trying to manifest is one without the animosity on either side. Just because they were wrong trash you in the first place doesn't mean you were right to respond.

There is no context where flaming or toxicity is okay in League.
