Does low priority Queue exist in LoL?

Ive been playing league for around 5 years and have never considered quitting until this last month, it has been the most miserable, toxic, and troll experience in all that time by a wide wide margin. i know some other MOBAs have low priority queue where everyone who gets reported is seperated from the regular playerbase and just have to play with eachother. does league have this in any capacity because right before this month of hell started i duoed with a friend who isnt always the most positive and im worried he dragged me into the toxic queue? or is it just a string of bad luck?

Riot has explicitly stated they never have, and never will do a low-priority (prisoner's island) queue.

Which means you probably had a mixture of a few factors:

  1. Bad luck
  2. Heightened awareness of negative behavior
  3. Your "not always the most positive" friend might himself be contributing to the negativity, deliberately or unintentionally. Or maybe not
  4. Out of game, or in-game frustration inducing events (see #2)

Well, LPQ EXISTS, just not like other games. LPQ is the fancy term for Leaver Buster

Low Priority Queue is a misnomer. It's really a penalty box.
