I have blocked a LOT of people this season.

Now, I've played since Season 2, so I've been around the block when it comes to toxicity, but this pre-season and this season in general has felt by far the most toxic I've experienced in a lot of years. I play norms, I usually do well in norms. Sometimes I have off days and I play poorly, but there's no changing that in 9/10 of these games there's been a flamer or someone who seems to need to say "Kys" and, like a dutiful member of the community, I report them for breaking the ToS.

And then I block them.

This is the first time in six seasons I've actually had to block this many people. Does anyone know if it's perhaps where I'm sitting as far as Elo? I usually get matched with Silver/Gold/Diamond Or has the game just turned into a sludge bucket of toxicity?

Maybe I'm pompous.

This season is generally pretty toxic, but it also has to do with Elo I think. Seems like silver and golds have attitudes and chips on their shoulders, and Diamonds look down on everyone else. Not saying every player but quite a few. But every tier has it.

Just had a Silver 5 lux in a ranked 3s match berating the enemy team and mocking their rank, mostly bronze. It was pretty embarrassing to see a team mate be like that. Though I'm not sure why a relatively new WW was playing in ranked. Still, it's just unsportsmanlike like to be so rude.

Gold use to be the most relaxed tier because everyone wanted to get there but no further unless you took everything seriously, now gold is similar to plat where most people are toxic because they aren't in diamond except its not being in plat for golds.
