I was just banned for 14 days for losing with Yi...

First of all i am NOT a toxic player. Little background im around a S5 player which sucks i know but this season i was 9-1 in placements, yet i was put into B4. I play Yi as much as possible cause im decent with him and i know how he works. i went 8-0 with him during the 9-1 placements. i Played this one game shortly after placements where i was Yi jungle but every lane on my team lost(this is B4 now)...Which made it more difficult for me as a yi to jungle and gank when the time came......my team was getting destroyed. Now this happens in some games which i understand but this team literally blamed me for all the mistakes. I said some semi rude things in my defense because i was getting ganged up on. Really nothing over the top though. I was trying to egg my team on for victory. This 14 day ban is rly over the top. In my 4 years playing years i never have been reprimanded for behavior ever. Plz look at this match and unban me...most undeserved:(

No. You are not punished by Riot for using a specific character.

You were punished for the "rude things" you typed out. Sorry, Sergeant. But you can't motivate your team with language that you use in boot camp.

this part right here is just beautiful. Hindsight is a real bitch sometimes. Regardless of whether your team was verbally abusive or not, you only have control over your actions. My old high school had a policy where self-defence was not an excuse for fighting, verbal or physical. Just because someone attacks you over the internet doesn't mean you have to return the favor.

You don't get banned for a single game where you were toxic (unless that game contains XJ-9 level of fucked up). You get banned because of multiple toxic games.

As of right now, punishments are given out in this order:

1.) 10 game chat restriction 2.) 25 game chat restriction 3.) 14 day ban 4.) Permanent ban

The way it works is once you receive one punishment, your next offense will give you the next highest tier of punishment, regardless of how "minor" your offense may have been. It is possible for Riot to escalate you straight to a 14 day or permanent ban, but Riot really only does this if they deem your case severe enough. Also, it is possible to lower your punishment level by one tier if you go 3 months without receiving any punishments.

Now, here's my question to you. Have you received a 25 game chat restriction at all recently? If you have, then the 14 day ban is your next step, as it is the standard punishment after the chat restriction right now. If you haven't received a 25 game chat restriction, then it's quite likely that Riot deemed your case severe enough to escalate you straight to a 14 day ban.

Something to keep in mind, too, is that it's likely that this game wasn't the only game that you were punished for. The system isn't designed to send you the chat logs of every single game you were punished for, only the most recent ones. So if Riot did escalate your case straight to a 14 day ban, it's likely because they looked at other games in which you were reported but weren't sent to you.

Maybe you didn't deserve a 14 day punishment, but you did deserve some form of chat restriction. I know how you feel, you're going to want to defend yourself, but you can't do that by stooping down to their level.

I've been in your position before. If you are getting harassed, the best thing to do is to not say anything at all. I know it's hard to do that, but it'll help you avoid getting punished.
