14 day ban, first offense

So i spent all day playing to try and get to plat today. Dealt with some seriously boosted and bad players that really got on my nerves. Normally, i dont type in chat often, but today i was super tilted. All i wanted was to reach my goal yet so many times people stood in my way. One game I was admittedly toxic, but why was i 14 day banned when this is my first offense? Literally no warning or chat restriction. Just insta-banned. All my hard work went to waste. All the time i spent trying to reach my goal was just nullified. I will paste the chat logs from the one game that resulted in my ban. Honestly, ive never been this mad at this game before. Like this is ridiculous. All the nonsense i had to deal with today and now this happens. Seems like everything was against me today and now even riot told me to go fuck myself.

Some severe behavior may warrant skipping punishment tiers. The use of hate speech (such as the repeated homophobic slurs here) is one of those that will do that. Riot has a zero tolerance policy for that kind of behavior.

Sadly, Riot has been pushing this completely invalid and disingenuous definition of "toxicity" for a long while now. Toxicity, true toxicity, can never be words in a box. Toxicity is when players on your team blow the game. It's ACTIONS that actually affect the outcome of the game. Words affect nothing unless you let them.

But you'll be the one banned for even trying to tell someone to play right, much less letting them know what you think of them after, through their actions or lack thereof, they waste YOUR time and earn you a loss you don't deserve.

It's pathetic and sickening, and why I uninstalled this game ages ago. I don't know why Riot wants to push this false definition. I can only assume it's because it's easier to do something about the harmless words than the harmful actions that lead to them.

Riot just like to try to piss people off to get them banned. Why do you think dynamic que lasted long enough for everyone to get boosted? I was mid diamond last season this season I have amazing kdas but cant climb since every other game has a 0-12 player rofl

honestly just move onto overwatch ive been playing this game for many years and its going down hill extremely quickly. Games no longer fun when matches are coinflips you have a right to rage at players that are boosted.

Homophobic slurs are not acceptable and it's a no brainer that you got a 14-day ban, be lucky it wasn't perma.

14 day bans for first time offenders is stupid if the offense is just a word. Give them a chat restriction and follow your own policy with that. Moving people straight to tier 3 for having a single lapse in judgement from thousands of games sample size is not only stupid, it's really stupid.
