But did you ban them!? (Telling someone to go shoot themselves, and go take pills and that they should be RAPED - is NOT okay! I am VERY upset.)

While they do deserve a ban. One of the rules for this board is naming and shaming. And you broke it hence why it was deleted. If you wanted something to happen you should have contacted Support to actually help you. Asking us Forum users who have zero power in this will do nothing. You need a red to help and while they do come here. its not as often as we would like. its best dealing with this type of situation to just contact support next time as they would have helped you!

Reporting them post game is the best thing to do - sending in a support ticket even with evidence rarely does anything. Just move on and play positively and don't worry about those games.

This isn't correct. The basic support cannot help you. They'll need to forward the ticket to the behavioral specialist team. They can help further and will take action as necessary and issue penalties to accounts.

Please provide all examples of times you have submitted evidence to the Behavioral Specialist and something has happened. I submitted an intentional feeder a year ago, to this DAY he is still intentionally feeding in typically 1 in 5 games. He rages and starts feeding when someone does something " he doesn't like " e.g. taking blue when he believe it's his.

Waiting for your actual evidence since you state I'm incorrect.

I had someone spam some extremely vile chat and wasn't able to report them in the end game screen. I returned an email to a behavior specialist I was already working with for another matter and they said it would be taken care of and gave me the usual we "can't give out information line".

Few moments later I saw a "due to your reports a player has been punished by the tribunal" and the player was on the forums complaining about a permanent ban. It could be that spamming the n word and other slurs gets other attention and he was reported by other people as well through the system... but I'd like to think it wasn't lost that I added my report as well.

Also, look at what The Curator says in the comments for this post. A support ticket takes longer because it's routed through what's probably 2-3 levels of customer service and support (it's a guess, but an educated one since I've literally set up customer service departments) to get to the right ticket. It may take longer but it's still valid. That goes for both in game harassment and misconduct as well as out of game when you add a random friend and they are harassing or abusive.

Yep. Submit a support ticket. The boards are not for reporting. There are other avenues for that.

Hey XoHeartAttackXo,

Boards Moderators do not have the power to punish anyone for in-game actions. We can only hold people accountable for their actions on the Boards.

Naming & Shaming, which is what your post fell under, is not allowed on the Boards so it was removed and the message we sent was to inform you of how you should address this type of issue (ie: report them using the in-game system). If you failed to do that, the only other option is to send in a ticket to Player Support. That ticket will get routed to the correct people to look into that, however it takes a lot longer than simply using the in-game reporting options.

Someone who commented on the original post told me about the naming and shaming thing, so I didn't include names again or the link with my original post, in my concerted effort to not break the board rules again.

But my friend was the one it happened to and I believe a fair number of the members of the room left before the verbal abuse post-game started. He and the other person involved post-chat reported - and as far as I can assume that was it. (Is that enough persons to ensure this person is dealt with?)

I sent the ticket. I don't care how long it takes. People like that are what ruin this game. I - don't want to play anymore! And it wasn't even me it happened to! If it WAS me, I would be getting a ban =\ #profanitylogorrhea

As it is, I don't get what the point of this board is then. I understand you saying YOU yourself (as a mod) can't punish actions reported here, but if you can't pass the information or evidence on to the necessary persons at Riot, then your purpose is to forward persons to Player Support? - which it's being implied is the longest of shots.

Only 1 report is needed to flag the game for review. In this case 9 reports or 1 report accomplishes the same thing. Actually asking for mass reports is itself a reportable and punishable offense.

As long as someone actually reported the game you are good to go.
