Got permabanned yesterday. I won't deny it - I'm a toxic piece of shit who rage types in chat and flames people for doing badly.

Here's a paste of the chat log (unedited, no bamboozle) from the specific game that got me banned. To be clear - I was (obviously) not banned before playing this game (although I had been heavily previously punished by chat restrictions and a 14 day ban), but after this game I received a permanent ban. Riot Support seemed to think that the lines 'DRG Bazzalisk: thhis is retarded' and 'DRG Bazzalisk: your champion is literally for retards who cant play mid' were the most objectionable, despite these lines not actually being directly insulting to anyone.

So yeah, come smite me Riot Employee, and provide some entertainment for the denizens of the Boards.

The rest is fairly standard low-key but persistent harassment of other players. There's no need to talk to someone about how they're only doing well because their champion is easy, or complaining about their play so much.

Just hard tilts me that a champion as easy as Malzahar is allowed to stay at 56% winrate and my opponent was telling me he's a better midlaner than me. Even though I'm playing a somewhat mechanical champion with 49% winrate to get a 55% winrate, and he's playing one of the easiest midlaners in the game, and is able to find more success without the need for practise at all just because of how strong/easy Malzahar is. IMO the game is in a bad place when this is the case, the chat logs are just me voicing my frustration that this is the current state of the game.

To be blunt, that's a poor reason to lay into someone. Frustration is fine, but venting it on someone else isn't. Hate speech is also 100% not okay.

I wouldn't say I was really laying into him though. The only part that's directly insulting him is saying he hadn't done anything which would require any practise which is not particularly insulting and also factually accurate.

Every time you talk about how his champion is too easy, it's a veiled attack on his own performance through the suggestion that he wouldn't be as good if he were playing someone else. The amount of times you say that make it problematic.

Aside from which, that's not even an insulting assertion to make. If someone told me 'you would suck on any champ other than Ekko' I wouldn't be offended because I'm basically a one trick so they're probably right.

Who gives a shit? You're expected to shut up and play. Not constantly pull attention to your feelings about who is or is not "worthy" of winning a game. It's a needless and petty point to make, and you'd have been in the wrong for trying constantly to make that point even if you HADN'T resorted to hate speech to get your point across.

I guess we just have different perspectives then because I would just like a bit of acceptance/humility from him. If he had replied with, 'yeah, it's pretty bullshit' then it would have been fine. If I gave up on having fun and decided to play a boring, mechanically easy but OP champion and got called out for it, I would show some sympathy to my opponent and recognise that it sucks to lose to a champion that takes no skill or practise to find success with.

Not everyone shares your perspective on how easy a champion is/isn't. He is under no obligation to belittle his own performance and say it's the champion, although he can if he wants. For all you know he finds Malzahar challenging and is just proud to be doing well, or finds Malzahar fun and just felt like playing him only to get harassed for his choice. Either way, you don't have the authority to do the belittling YOU feel is necessary for him.

You don't necessarily have to agree, but that behavior is something the system WILL punish for.

I mean it's not really a personal perspective though, is it? Malzahar is objectively both easy and powerful, and anyone who finds him mechanically difficult would probably have difficulty playing any other midlaner too which aligns with my ingame statement. No one can possibly seriously rate Malzahar as a difficult or complex champion (at that rank) compared to other champions, and refusing to show humility in that regard was disrespectful to his opponent.

Humility is not mandatory, nor is a lack of humility inherently disrespectful. Bragging WOULD be disrepectful, but so to is pinning the entirety of his performance on an easy champion. You may personally disagree and feel offering humility in the face of your comments is the ONLY acceptable course of actions, but the system does not agree.

It's more about me thinking he should show some respect to his opponent by acknowledging that his champion is easy to play and he hasn't done anything notable to deserve a win. Respect goes both ways, and he basically disrespected me by doubling down and implying that he had done anything that required any skill or practise whatsoever, when he didn't, so I don't feel he deserves my respect either after that.

Again, wildly toxic perspective. You're playing a video game. Nobody is required to earn your respect, or to endure being harassed by you because you've locked onto them as somebody that owes you something.

This chat log shows you rotating through other players, teammate or opponent, and finding things to be mad about and harassing them for those things. That's ridiculous. You desperately need to look at yourself and discover WHY you feel the need to constantly fight people, because this is an unhealthy way to live.

Not really. I said 'wp ali' because he made a good level 1 play resulting in first blood. I said 'wp xin' because he carried the game and was all over the map. The only players I was mad at this game were Graves (for throwing himself under top tower at level 4, followed by 10 minutes of afk farming) and Malzahar (for being disrespectful to me)

Thanks for your attempted help. I get to level another account to 30 now. The lesson I've learnt from this is that trolling and inting are okay as long as it's not 'Nunu with Ghost Cleanse' tier because Riot doesn't detect them, but typing in chat is a no-no. Time to have 'fun' in some normal games!
