Trying to overcome salt/toxic behavior, but teammates don't cooperate?

I just played a game where I was forced into supporting, my worst role. I've played maybe 5 games as a support role, and i'm absolute trash at it. My teammates refused to cooperate and work around my weakness when in champ select. We got in game, and they flamed, blamed, and bashed me non stop saying it was my fault. I'm tired of trying to be a better player and tired of getting reported when i'm striving to be better in the community. Isn't a team supposed to work together? Everyone is so selfish. They all bashed me and verbally harassed me. My computer had automatic updates and shut down so they all reported me for afk as well (WORST TIMING EVER WINDOWS). I wish I could talk to the tribunal or something to show them how hard i'm honestly trying to overcome this.

Help me try to overcome all this and stop getting reported for really unnecessary reasons?

First, go change the settings on windows updates so you choose when to install them.

After that, it sounds like you need to make more use of the mute button. Once people start causing problems, if it's bothering you, just mute them. You'll be much better off for it. And if they were harassing you before you muted them, you can report them after the game.

Best advice is to do what I did bud. I know it sucks, but play nothing but support for a while. When I starting playing ranked and actually trying to move up, I tried to main jungle and top lane but rarely got the roles. As you mentioned above, I was forced to support more than half the time. After being tired of getting angry about it I just started supporting every game I could, calling it as my required role (it's now my main) and worked on the play style. I took my weakness and turned it into a strength. I know it sucks, I know it's not ideal, but if you are playing ranked and you're getting forced into supporting and you don't know how, a little bit of the blame is on you for not foreseeing the circumstance and preparing for it. Always have a contingency plan.

My advice is to play some normals for a few days, support as often as you can, play around with the different champs. Find some that can fit to your play style, there are plenty to choose from, and turn that weakness of yours into a strength. I know it's not saying much, but by doing so myself, I finally placed gold this past season after only making it to Silver 1 for the two previous seasons and I've kept playing since then and I'm Gold 1 right now, working on Plat 5. Hopefully it doesn't take you as long, but if you keep at it, you'll turn that negativity into something that has tempered you and made you stronger.

As far as the blame and flame, mute is your best friend. I have all chat disabled and as soon as someone on my team says something that gets to me even a little bit, I mute them. Then I can focus on my play rather than what they're saying and letting it affect me. Good luck on the rift!!

Everything is your fault. Always.

#support life

Top laner tower dove at lvl 2 vs shen? Supports fault.

Adc forgets to use heal in a trade? Supports fault.

Amumu jungle tries to steal red buff from elise and dies as a result? Definately supports fault.

Sarcasm aside, you just have to make the best of every situation. If you get stuck with a role you are nad at just try not to feed.

1 sentence to change your life.

Toxic people are not something one needs to overcome, it is something to be IGNORED.

Unless you've got the perfect zinger (of the "you eat pieces of shit for breakfast???" quality), there's really nothing for you to gain from responding to these people. These people are not worth your attention. Just mute them.

The tribunal hasn't been around for a bit but will be soon (?)

I totally feel you on this. I feel often going solo in regs that I'm walking into a toxic shitstorm by default and am surprised and delighted on the rare occasion it's a solid positive group. I need to and suggest you should as well, find a solid group you can play with regularly that don't take it so seriously. I'd be happy to play with you. Bandit King Z

You should configure windows update and deactivate automatic updates, but with windows 10 youll have to download a program for that. You can search that on youtube
