What level of toxicity is ok?
This happened a few games ago:
Our jungler pinged our mid laner to come take blue buff. Yet, our mid laner (Annie) was bot ganking. The jungler took the buff and chaos ensued. Our mid laner stop playing, stayed in base just writing messages, not the usual toxic stuff "n00b, learn to play... bla bla". He was pretty convinced that the jungler should "kill himself", she went on and on about this. We lost the game of course, honestly, it would have been a lost game anyway. But it got me thinking:
How toxic can you be until it's considered simply to much?
Not talking about how toxic you can be before it stops being ok, being toxic is -never- ok. But what is the limit on the other end?
I'm -MY- opinion, telling another human being over a game to kill himself, or even threaten to kill them is too messed up to be permitted. I know there's reasons to be toxic, sometimes you're frustrated, your team doesn't help, etc. But some people just ventilate to much on others their own external problems. Why is it a big deal then? As it's understandable that the person being toxic has some problems, it is also understandable we have no idea who they are offending. I might be making a big deal out of nothing.... but if someone does hurt themselves because of this negativity? If this already happened?
We can't say anyone deserves that, specially if they are capable of inflicting self-harm because of something "small" like this. Again, we don't know -who- is at the other side of the keyboard and how they might handle this type of situation. I also know the Riot games and a big part of the community work towards stopping this, yet I feel there's things you can do to avoid getting punished. (This Annie might not even get a warning, since she stayed in base moving inside from time to time). And this is precisely what bothers me the most.
I am just posting this... rant, if you want to call it that, to raise a bit of awarness in the matter. The person in quesiton was reported. Here's a screenshot post-game. Did tell the guy that I was posting this in forums and he gave a positive answer to the notion. So I have his written consent to do so. I really hope something happens in this case in particular.
