10 game chat ban, then 2 week suspend

Wut?

The whole reporting system is so troll. I get warnings constantly during ranked 5s games I don't even type in.

Then if I'm even mildly sarcastic (and sure, sometimes tilted) I'm screwed. I feel like my account is under constantly review because of the crazy troll reports I get, so once they find a game where I tell some feeding moron to "please stop feeding" I'm cooked.

ALL OF THAT ASIDE.

10 game chat ban, then a 14 day ban? I guess we can't even type in game anymore.

Let's end this with: Never in the nearly 15 years of online gaming, have I ever received any other punishment for "behavior". Having my account banned for weeks is ludicrous.

Maybe a good look at the root cause of "Toxic behavior" (I gag when I hear that phrase) should be looked at

  1. (lack of) Matchmaking Quality
  2. accounts that are clearly bought or being played by someone else
  3. Actual toxic players, EXAMPLES: FEEDERS, RAGE QUITTERS, AFKERS ETC

Nah, let's ban the guy that got mad in 3 games for 2 weeks.

Only consistent negative behavior will result in a ban, and only extremely toxic behavior results in skipping punishment tiers. Behaving a certain way in other games for 15 years doesn't mean it's acceptable here. If you're unsure why you got punished the way you did, post your reform card here so we can take a look at it for you.

Keep in mind that your next punishment will be a permanent ban. Punishment is dealt in 4 steps;

  • 10 game chat restriction
  • 25 game chat restriction
  • 14 day account ban
  • Permanent account ban

It takes 3 months without punishment for your tier to drop 1 step. Also note that finishing a punishment does not erase your record that resulted in it, so you will be on the edge of another punishment coming out of one and need to significantly change your behavior.

I've been reported hundreds upon hundreds of times and have even been sarcastic in game and have never received a chat ban. If you did you obviously have done something slightly worse than sarcasm. Or sometimes I just like to make champion quotes and puns.

As a player who has never been penalized and constantly talks in games, I'm inclined to not believe you.

What you call "mildly sarcastic", I don't think it'd be too much of stretch to think you're insulting everybody and their moms.

You won't find much sympathy here. It's basically unheard of that people are banned without a good reason. Just suck it up and come back acting like a respectful human being. Mute all and say nothing... or just quit. We hope you reform and that's what punishment is all about... but honestly if that's not important to you then most people won't want you in their games. I'm hopeful for you, but you need to start owning your actions more than your post seems to indicate/

"please stop feeding" isn't some polite way to help your team like people think it is. you're effectively just calling them bad.

if your teammate is feeding and you really need to say something about it, go with advice. recommend that they build some MR. advise focusing on farming if they keep trying to fight their laner and getting wrecked. ask them to stay outside of their range for a bit while you take red buff so you can gank for them.

"please stop feeding" doesn't help anything. they know they're doing bad, and its not going to turn on a magical light switch in their head and they'll go "oh, i get it! i just have to stop dying!"

and if you get mad in a game, complain at your team with your mouth, not your fingers. (assuming they're strangers and you arent in voice chat with them, don't follow this advice if your friend tommy is being a shit vayne player) you can't carry while you're typing anyways.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. I myself have gotten an account banned due to the inefficiency of the reporting system. Riot does nothing to people who troll, feed, and afk but are swift to punish those who speak out about it in games. The bright side is if you do get banned, its pretty easy to get a new account to 30. I have made two accounts pretty quickly just by feeding enemy teams so game ends quickly and I get XP, and have not gotten banned or punished once. Use Riots shitty reporting system to your benefit if you have to bro.

i agree, Getting matched with silvers vs diamonds is toxic in itself. Then when they go 0-8 and troll pick going 0-8 they still flame and blame lmfao. Yet im the one getting "you have been reported" after screen every game. Then again I dont get chat bans/banned so. Guess you have to say something super racy or go ham because i can still tell players basically to fuck off without getting banned. Still dont think players that talk in a game should be able to be banned from it just makes the age of the pussys. everyones gonna kill themelfs in real life i guess when bad stuff happens all the time. If you cant even just mute someone you dont know in a video game to the point where it ruins your game you arent ready for real life and need some mental therapy. From growing up with online games banter and flaming is what makes it fun, and if i dont like it I can mute you and try to beat you , If I lose well fuck that sucks but you get over it.
