Reported for playing Jungle in ranked when I que'd for and got Jungle. What.

Hello,

I just duo que'd for ranked and put in for Jung/Top. I received Jung and put in for rammus as the champ i wanted to play. During banning phase the person who received support asked if they could jungle and I declined . He was also with a duo and his partner also asked me to switch with him, and I said no again. Well the guy verbally said he was going to jungle and ended up going Vi with smite (in which he did attempt to duo jungle resulting in a huge loss) I tend to not get riled up with the trolls and in this particular instance my lack of calling out the Vi hurt me. The other duo were so talkative that they got all 5 members of the other team to believe I was the one trolling and picked Jungle when i wasn't supposed to. After trying to defend myself it still resulted in 5+ reports from the other team and that duo.

I need confirmation from Riot that this type of false reporting can be identified. I dont want to lose my ribbon and certainly do not want to have any negative effects come from this. That would be the end of league for me.

My duo partner has screenshots and I am asking him to somehow post it here if he can.

Yes, false reports can be identified and thrown out. The problem is that you got into an argument with them. Retaliating with toxicity is just as unacceptable as their toxicity, so I hope you kept it civil, or their reports will have weight.

Mass reporting doesn't hurt you more than 1 report, though. Punishment is calculated per match, not per report. If one was false they all are, and if they were all true it's only as good as 1 anyway.

Just mute and report them, for your own sanity if nothing else.

It can be. They have chat logs and know what role you were supposed to have.

As long as you didn't say anything wrong nothing will happen.

Here are some fun facts the guys who messed with you don't know.

1.) From what I have been seeing riot has added the champ select screen chat to the logs for reports.

2.) Also reporting doesn't put a spot light on a single person, As it sends in the whole chat log itself to be reviewed. Meaning when they go over it they could just as easily punish them for their wrong doings. If not then you still shouldn't worry about a punishment.
