I am getting punished for your broken remake system Riot

In the last few days, I've had two ranked games in which a player disconnected during the loading screen. My whole team is aware of it being a remake, in one case it was our jungler who forgot smite that disconnected, in another it was my duo partner whose game crashed and I let my team know he does not plan to come back so we can remake. So we treated the first three minutes like it was a throw-away game, which involved people taking stupid fights in the jungle and dying, or just not going to lane when the minions arrived and missing out on gold and xp. But when the three minute mark hits, and we tried to remake, the game won't let us, saying there needs to be a DC player in the game in order to remake, which we have, but the game fails to recognize that. As a result of being down a player and throwing the first three minutes of the game, those were completely hopeless games and so I left the game to do something more productive for the next 10+ minutes. As a result I just opened the client today and got hit with the leaver buster message and now I'm in a low priority queue.

I'm not even gonna mention the LP I've lost because your remake system doesn't work when it should have, but to put me in low priority queue because of your broken remake system? Really Riot??? REALLY????

Both games the jungler never moved after the game was loaded, never bought items, never came back, and it didn't let us remake. Both games ended pre-15 minutes so it was an open mid either way, and if I had stayed I would have wasted 10 minutes watching the enemy team pushing down an empty mid lane. Or is that the price I am expected to pay for YOUR BROKEN REMAKE SYSTEM???

Also just for record, those were the only two games I afk'ed in the last month.

There was a long period of time where we didn't even have a remake system. You were punished because you left, not because of a broken remake system. You are expected to stay. It's stupid, but dont just twist the truth and say it's the remake system's fault. If you had stayed, you wouldn't be hit with the leaverbuster. So just AT LEAST try to follow the correct path of cause and effect. But yeah, it's pretty dumb that you're expected to stay... obviously I do agree with that!

If the reason I'm stuck in the game is the broken remake system, then I am no longer obligated to stay there til the game ends. Just like if the reason you are stuck at an intersection is because of a broken traffic light that is stuck on red, then you are no longer obligated to sit there until it turns green. And if you get a ticket for running a broken traffic light, then you can rightfully dispute that ticket and you will win the case.

That's why you don't give up a match early. For all odds they could still return too.

And no, Remake only works when a player, as stated, FAILS TO CONNECT. And not simply disconnects because someone made a mistake (Because that would be heavily abuseable).

They left during loading screen so they never connected to the game. When a player is DC at the game start, their champion actually loads up in the very middle of the fountain instead as part of a circle that everyone else forms, and that was the case for those games. Don't try to defend a defective system.

And I have every right to leave the game, because if the remake system worked, I would have been out, with no LP loss on top of that. It's like you are not supposed to run a red light, but if the lights are broken and never changes from red, and you run it after sitting there and waiting for 3 minutes, then you are no longer at fault for running the red light. And if the police still give you a ticket for running that light, you can rightfully go to the court and dispute that.

That's not how the remake system works. It only works if someone hadn't connected to the game yet (Loading in = connecting to the game...)

Please stop pulling shit out of your ass, that's not how remake works or how it is intended to work.

Here is a game that was remade, everybody in the game bought items so everyone at least made it into the game let alone the loading screen. Most disconnects happen during the loading screen.

From the FAQ on /remake:

First blood against a player's team before they leave/dc will prevent a /remake vote.

The smart (and right) thing to do would be to tower hug until the 3 minute mark.

They were DC'd as soon as the game loaded up. It wasn't like they got into the game, saw a team member give up first blood, then decided to leave.

Why risk it?
