I have a proposed idea to 'fix' ranked.

First of all, they should judge your placements off your normals MMR and 'score' from each game, like if you get all S's and your MMR is diamond level, they should make it so you end up in high daimond. This will keep people who OBVIOUSLY don't belong in bronze from purposefully getting bronze for gg ez games. Your LP gain should also no longer depend on wins/losses, rather your score each game, B's will give you nothing, anything below a B will make you lose LP while anything above it, like B+ will give you LP with a varying amount that is dependant on how high or low the rank is and wether you won or loss. This will keep people from climbing by being carried. They should also lock Ranked until you've played 100 normals, which is a lot but it discourages people from smurfing through the 30 levels just to have a low elo and ending up in bronze, because you'd have to be hyper dedicated to your cause to play 100 games just to have a bronze level MMR. They should also punish trolling more harshly, so if you are without a doubt trolling in ranked, you'll recieve a 24 hour IP ban, and you'l gain another 24 hour IP ban for each time you're convicted of it.

As far as your score affecting your LP gains, a lot of people don't realize just how much this will affect ranked play.

If this is implemented, you will have a lot of players playing selfishly to pad their score so that they get a higher grade. Also, no one would want to play support because generally it's harder to get a higher grade in that role. If they can't get a high enough grade, they will lose LP even if their team won (with your idea), and they could have been the MVP making a bunch of plays catching enemies out of position. On top of that, with your idea, you lose LP if you score anything lower than an A, which is definitely not a good idea. The goal is not to get a good score, it's to destroy the enemy nexus which is a team effort. If your team can destroy the enemy nexus, then the team should be reward with LP. I could keep going on, but the point is that having your personal score affect your LP gains/losses, especially as much in your suggestion, is not that great of an idea.

As a side note, IP bans are fairly ineffective for multiple reasons. To start, there's collateral damage to take into account. Places like internet cafes and college dorms have multiple users on the same IP and banning that IP would ban several innocent players for the actions of one. This actually happened in the past with Riot, which is why they don't issue IP bans. Also, if Riot were to manage to ban an IP that houses only that single player, it's actually not that difficult to get around by simply changing your IP.

I said this on the FB group and I'll say it here, pls no so I can continue to play things I know I suck at in norms when I actually want to have fun at this game.

This was a very long conversation on Facebook that resulted in people leaving groups. Point of what we hit there is that this is not an effective way to judge a team game. The point of League is to work with your team to take over their base, which requires a lot of sacrifices in both deaths, kills, and cs in order to better your chances of winning the game. If you implement something like basing LP gains and losses off of KDA and CS (Which is what grades are largely based on) You're just going to get people ignoring their team and csing the whole time, or just getting fed and hunting for kills so the team loses, but they have a high KDA and they'll get the S so they get more LP. Turns a team game that requires everyone to work together into whoever can get the best score. Completely goes against league's purpose.

Also, normals is a time for people to learn new roles, try fun builds, and play with their friends who are completely ranks. It's a queue meant to be fun and not have the pressure of effecting your rank. This also defeats the purpose of having normals if your rank is based on them.
