Season 5 ranked rewards- an unfair judgement

Hi there! I was redirected to this part of the forum thanks to 'wuks' :) i will paste my previous post here for further discussion/conclusion.

So, i have never received a ban before, and for the first time received a chat restriction after being toxic in a game. After being chat restricted for 10 matches i realised how toxic i can be at times and decided to reform myself since then (even tho trolls get mad and report me when i did nothing wrong, but ill leave that to the tribunal). It so happens that this 10 game chat restriction, my first ever, only had 2 matches left until it was lifted when the ranked season ENDED. I had no idea that a chat restriction would affect my reward in any way i think this is very unfair considering it was my first and i was only 2 matches off! Im so shattered im not getting the silver border which i worked so hard to get out of bronze for :( can something be done about this? I dont deserve this! - Especially after playing over 1k ranked games to get there!

(when you think about it, 1000+ ranked games and only one chat restriction - i was not a consistently toxic player rather only 2/3 games when i was on a major tilt!!! for further proof i do have a ribbon around my loading screen for my friendliness in-game! - through the honour system.)

I purposefully stopped playing in the last few days before the ranked season ended to ensure i didn't drop from silver! If i had known i would have played the last 2 games to get the restriction lifted, but i was in no hurry because there was no reason to try and rush the 10 matches and i felt although i was obliged to serve them normally. This is incredibly dis-heartening for me as a player and its turned me off playing as i feel my efforts were completely unrecognised...

I sympathize with you and do agree that two games is pretty close. There's a good chance that if you contact Riot Games Player Support they'll say there's nothing they can do about it, and that's that. But you never know if you don't try. So I'm adding information to the bottom of this reply about how to contact Player Support. I wish you the best of luck, and remember to stay positive in your matches moving forward! I'd hate to see you here talking about another punishment, if you know what I mean ;)

Because this is an account-specific inquiry, we can’t help you out here on the Boards. As such, you’ll want to direct this to Riot Games Player Support by submitting a ticket! As you submit your request, here are some tips that will help resolve this issue as quickly as possible:

  1. Create an account on the Riot Games Support website. It'll save you a lot of time in the future and keep your requests organized and easier to find/access.
  2. Be sure to submit as much information in your initial ticket as possible. For obvious reasons, each Player Support Specialist's request for more information will delay the resolution of the issue.
  3. Be respectful and polite in your correspondences with Riot Support. (They're doing their best to help you!)
  4. Try not create a new ticket or respond to an existing ticket before a Player Support Specialist has had the chance to review your request. New tickets/replies may bump your ticket back to the bottom of the queue, thus increasing the amount of time before a Player Support Specialist is able to review your ticket.

If you're unsure where to put your ticket in, just select: [I have a question about League of Legends/Riot Games.] > [Game and Features] > [General Questions]

IIRC, you still wouldn't have received rewards even if you were out of your restriction.
