AFK System

I am not playing league of legends anymore until they do something about that fact that an unlucky streak of afk players can destroy your ranked potential. I was trying to hit gold before the seasons end, but I got a streak where every other game was an afk. I climbed back up to silver 1 promos and then lost because I had an afk. If you put time into a video game you expect some return. The current league ranking system requires a player to play many many games. This is because the games are a statistical average that reflect player merit, but if a game is 40 mins (usually 20-30mins if afk) and you have to play about 5 (you probably win 3 or 4 of those on a good day) to make any progress then the time commitment it HUGE. So I'm done with this game until riot stops penalizing players for having an afk on their team.

Statistically speaking, if there's a leaver in every other game, and you never leave, than the other team has a slightly higher chance of getting that leaver,

Then I guess it's up to you how much of a commitment you want to make in advancing.

Thing is, they have to balance the system so genuine emergencies or unexpected DC's don't unfairly punish people who take reasonable measured to avoid problems.

And I believe the system already has a more sensitive trigger on Ranked than more casual modes. I don't have the Red post about it, but I'd bet some of the other regulars do.
