League of Legends And It's Community

I've grown up playing online games. I've seen shitty people in every online game I've ever played. There will always be bad people everywhere. But when it comes to League, I've never been met with such consistent trolling, flaming, and just flat out racist individuals in all my life. 9 games out of 10 I can gurantee you'll be met with some sad individual who just wants to flame or ruin your game with shitty comments or trolling.

Again, I'm no stranger to online games, I understand the need to have "tough skin" when entering the world of online gaming. But when it comes to league it's almost like the only way to enjoy yourself is by muting everyone the moment you enter the game. It's upsetting.

Consider this a rant. After being told to kill myself, uninstall, and go fuck myself for the past few games for learning ADC I just needed to write my thoughts down. Maybe others can relate to my frustration.

ive only had toxic ppl 3 out of 50 games soooo, on a side note. report those ppl. They will get banned and this a step towards cleaning up the community. Also just mute them and don't respond

Do you argue with people when they start flaming? I dont get all this super nasty flame that people talk about. It literally never happens to me. The only reason i can think of is i just dont take them seriously.

When someone tells me i suck i just go lol and thats about all that happens. Or i say "dont we all here in silver?". Do you flame back? Do you tell them a long story about how you made the right move? I feel like things like that only feed the flamer and escalates their level of flame. Just stop taking these kids and their dumbass video gamer bullshit seriously. Games are for fun. If you think being good at them is cool or something, youre just a loser. Why argue with losers?

welcome to league of legends... where everyone is over fueled with ego and a complete blindness to accept their own bs and wrong doings..... Did you like the introduction? Good. Now i strongly suggest you get out before you get to attached to the game play. Because the game play itself is the only good thing this game has going for it. Don't expect to be able to go in to any match talking, getting along, and behaving like normal decent respectful individuals instead of primal like saber tooth tigers. With this community you almost have a better chance of getting struck by lighting then to get grouped up with people who are all simply trying to get along. Oh btw. if you stick up to them for bullying you or others you will be told you are immature and deserve to get bans even from moderators themselves. In a lot of instances it seems some of the moderators themselves have this bully like mentality as well.

so yeah according to some of them its immature to stick up for yourself or another person who is being bullied, but its not really immature for someone to flame and start random shit with someone. i was told by a moderator that i was wrong for sticking up to the bully's and fully deserved my 14 day ban. It took a reasonable female riot employee with a little bit of common sense to realize they were indeed harassing me and bullying me and that i did not deserve the ban at all. and to this day the moderator still can't man up and admit he was wrong for trying to justify the bullies behavior and said that i deserved it all. So yeah man be careful, because some of the moderators themselves are clearly in favor of this primal bully like mind set
