Hello every1 i was just wandering after a big discussion i had with a friend (also league player) about how perma ban should influence bad behavior and how is actuall making players better.. and i reach to the conclusion that riot should find other ways to influence toxic playrs something like more steps and the last step should be something like disable their in game chat whitout allowing them to communicate in game. In my oppinion i think perma ban isnt the best way to stop toxic players behavior.

what do you think guys Thanks! [slayer-jinx-catface]

Riot has already tried some things in the past. Disabling in game chat, giving perma-banned players a second chance. Only an extremely low percentage of players reaching the perma point ever reformed. And that percentage couldnt excuse the perma ban lifting overall. Thing is, toxic players, even when their chat is disabled, will find some way to express their frustration. And, aside from some cases, most toxic players have their "warnings" with chat restrictions, temporary suspensions etc.

And thats without even mentioning that this is a game and not some sort of "rehabilitation facility". Its not Riot job to help these players reform. They give them chances, some people take advantage of them and reform, some others dont.

There have been tests regarding this and players just used different ways to show toxicity, like stealing farm or intentional feeding. I agree, perma-bans aren't optimal, but Riot did extensive research into toxic behavior (they even have some interesting talks about it online) and probably considered and tested most alternative punishments or reform possibilities.

i think in game chat restrictions is probably the best way to resolve issues. No reason to permanently ban unless you are just being obscenely hate filled, which that would be good to just chat restrict as well.
