Permanent Ban for retaliation against in-game harassment?

Hey guys, so recently I received a permanent account ban due to my retaliation against a premade queue of 4 players who were constantly harassing me in-game.

I have played league of legends since Nidalee was released, so basically for many years and have had minimal issues with toxicity on my account (I believe I had one chat restriction for a few games a long time ago) but in general my account has been in good standing and has never received a ban.

It seems that my account was banned specifically due to my behavior of 1 game, skipping the previous options of punishment. According to riots support team, my behavior this match was so overwhelmingly toxic that I met the requirements to skip lesser punishments and receive the harshest punishment available.

I find this level of punishment completely outrageous considering in this match I did not troll, did not feed (my score was quite decent), did not afk/rage quit and had solid communication with my team prior to our ugly argument. Apparently one of the primary reasons for this level of punishment is my use of the word '%%%got' towards my teammates, which is considered hate speech. I'm not quite sure why talking shit back towards my toxic team led to such a harsh punishment, but it seems that there is some sort of hierarchy of crimes against the summoners code and anything that can be considered hate speech is considered far worst than any other type of toxic behavior.

Some Backstory:

The insults began during mid-game when I (playing as vayne) got caught out by a troll bush full of players near bot lane and died fighting instead of trying to run. My team immediately began insulting me and I tried to explain that I didn't see them and I had no chance of escaping but they proceeded to continuously berate me for my death.

In response to the backlash of insults due to my death I made the poor choice of insulting them back instead of muting them. The harassment intensified and the game quickly degenerated into constant verbal attacks from all 4 players on my team that led to an even game quickly spiraling into a defeat.

They began shifting the insults towards me into all-chat, even resorting to telling lies to the enemy team such as how I was afk even though I has just ported back to base to shop. In-game trolling, intentionally stealing camps they see me doing etc etc.

It was a truly infuriating experience, although I chose to keep playing instead of rage quitting, however this once again proved to be the wrong decision as I received a swift permanent ban once the game was finished for my retaliation against my abusive teammates.

The part that truly sickens me is that none of my teammates received any form of punishment, while I received the harshest due to my retaliation. I don't understand why my actions were considered extremely toxic yet my teammates were not punished at all. I am seriously doubting the way this report system handles punishments as well as the integrity of riots support team.

I requested the full chat logs to use as evidence of how vicious and abusive my team was towards me, but for some reason riots support team has refused to send me the full-chat logs due to "privacy reasons", even having the names blocked out was not acceptable terms to send me the chat logs.

All I have here is what's seen on my reform card. Take a look and let me know what you think the appropriate punishment should be. I will copy and paste riots support replies upon request if anyone is curious.

Wow that's a lot of slur-slinging. I would start to point out what exactly is wrong with this kind of behavior, but it seems you already know.

You got a permanent ban because you already had a 14-day ban and your behavior in this game triggered the Instant Feedback system. You weren't permabanned for one game, you were permabanned for showing a history of negative behavior through chat restrictions and a two-week ban. It does not matter at all what other people say to you when it comes to your behavior. They might try to influence your attitude, but what you say is your responsibility.

Did throwing hate speech back at them help the situation at all? Did you really expect that it would?

There's no excuse for that. And Riot takes a hard stance hate speech, especially when it's repeated over and over. Even if you haven't had a prior 14-day ban, this is one of the things that they can and will skip tiers for.

You'd still have this account if you'd just used the proper response to the situation you were in: /mute all and then report them all after the game for harassing you. Had you done that, they might be the ones here crying about a punishment instead of you.

That's the way it is in this game. Premades can say or do whatever and you report them. nothing happens, but God forbid you say something back to them.. 4 x report you get ban. They don't put the full chat logs, just you responding to harassment. Riot doesn't care. Just learn to mute all.. until Riot starts banning people for not communicating with their team.

Problem is you are using homophobic slurs. That's not excusable even in retaliation. That alone warrants a permanent ban.

I have to be honest and tell you I still believe that your not getting the point though. I don't find it alright to say the things you said in that log ( for any reason) ...I have always supported Riot being hard on Toxic behavior.

I would have hit report on you in that game if I'd been in it, and I don't report often. There is always the chance that you are having a hard time and a few bad games, so yes add if you like.

I picked account banishement because it sounds cooler than permanent suspension.

Yes, which is why both parties involved deserve punishment, wouldn't you agree?

If 'said' players were as bad as you say they were, Then YES all things being equal they should have been punished also:

Here is the thing, I don't know what they were saying and what kind of history anyone has so-- It is hard for anyone here posting to know about what the other people may have said, if anything. We don't know the others players in your games history's or yours and don't know if they really said anything against the TOS.!

No disrespect to you, but many if not most Perma-banned players who come on here don't tell the whole truth!

All in All, you have said that you have other accounts already... please Learn from this. Now you know...BTW the "mute" button is Not An I can say WTF I want button.
