Queue Penalty for Bot afk

My level 27 account received a 5 game low priority queue timer for afking. I play intermediate bots only on my account, and, although its really not that big of a deal, as I can survive 25 minutes of extra waiting, I'd like to know why there is a penalty for leaving a bots match where the AI stop playing when there are only 4 players detected on the enemy team. It doesnt seem to make much sense to me seeing as I've only ever lost 1 of my several 100 intermediate bots matches and that was due to a trolly surrender that was amusing for everyone in the game, and possibly more disruptive to the community than any of my afks during bots matches. I'd like to reiterate that I'm not venting and looking to be unpunished, but rather looking for a reason why I should have to serve my 25 minutes of queue time.

my best guess would be so that completely new players don't think they can afk in a 5v5 without any kind of of consequence but who knows

We don't need new people starting bad habits of AFKing. If we instill that it is bad and will get you punished, hopefully less people are likely to do it.

I don't understand, the summoners code calls for "Civil discussion", yet my remarks are being down voted. Whether you're in chat, in a game, or on the forums, there are plenty of people to meet, and plenty of topics to discuss. Whether you're discussing game balance and champion viability, trying to form a premade team, or just want to express your affection for the legendary and infamous Gentleman Cho'gath, we encourage you to share your thoughts with other players. When you choose to participate in a discussion with the rest of the playerbase, always try to be receptive to another player's point of view. If you keep an open mind, you'd be surprised what valuable information you can glean from your fellow players. Also, be mindful of how you present your point of view. If a player feels strongly on a subject, don't get caught up trying to have the last word. Just state your side and exit the conversation gracefully rather than give them the opportunity to pick a fight.
