I've recently received a chat restriction and I completely understand why I received it and i was wondering how can you reform in order to be eligible to earn season rewards and Hextech Loot?

Play games without doing what caused you to earn your chat restriction. You can't just "wait it out" by not logging in; you have to play games without being toxic.

That's not really answering what he's asking, but I really couldn't find an answer either apart from,

"We're working on putting out a better explanation for this. For players that are punished by the Instant Feedback system and work off the punishment, they will still be restricted from earning Hextech chests or keys for a period while the system ensures that they have reformed their behavior. I also found that as long as you're not chat restricted at the end of the season you SHOULD still get your rewards as long as you have been excessively chat banned.

What is considered "Sportsmanlike behavior" and how will the system know that I've been doing good and not been toxic?

All I can assume is, you go X amount of time without receiving another chat ban or low priority queue. Sorry I can't help more, it's all rather unclear

I heard somebody throw the figure of 30-40 games out a couple times, not sure if accurate though.

Until the system sees that your reform (Usually 1-3 months on positive games) Your restriction will be lifted

Im stuck in the same boat. :( Does getting honors help though? Heard people say reporting other toxic players also helps.

I got a 10 game chat restriction once. I finished the 10 games and I reformed and within like 4 days after completing the games it was removed, but that's only if you're being positive and helpful. It all depends on the player
