What has this game mentality become?

I hate what this game has become. I hate how you cant have a nice, friendly, sportsmanlike conversation anymore. Any attempts to even speak about anything will be met with shittalking, people trolling you, and general assholes. I miss being able to talk in all chat about how the current patch is, or just spark a conversation in general. Now, its just a bunch of fucking edgy meme kids who will just fuck with you to get a laugh if you even remotely try to communicate.

Its not even the shit talking or toxicity that gets to me, it truly hurts that I cant even have a conversation with anyone on this game anymore.

I agree that there are tons of edgy meme lords spoiling chat most of the time..ESPECIALLY in champ select. yikes.

But also consider most people don't want to have a full blown conversation with you while trying to focus on the game.

Generally speaking people don't like to have conversations in the middle of a competitive game. Maybe you do but you should not have that expectation of others.

Esports has been eroding the community ever since riot started shoving the game into the spotlight. Drawing in all the egotistical brats from more solo-ist games like call of duty.
