Theory of AI Taking Over When Someone Leaves

It's obvious, we've seen it before, ten minutes in a game things are goin good, when all of a sudden, your top laner or support goes afk or disconnects, they aren't back in five minutes, what do you do? I have recently thought up of a feature where if a person leaves, an AI can step in and continue assisting. I think this is totally possible because of what Alien Isolation's Alien AI had to offer, able to make up random paths and encounters. And can't we all agree that even the intermediate AI's are pretty tough. I know some of you are thinking how this will combat trolls, it will still be the normal Leaverbuster treatment, but without the team let down. Because apparently, summoners love nothing more than the punishing of trolls and sometimes the innocent. What do you think of the AI takeover theory.

We definitely do not all agree intermediate bots are pretty tough.

I would infinitely rather be 4v5 than 4+bot v 5.

Even in bronze I think bots feeding would be a bigger issue than being down a player. By silver it would definitely be worse.

Bots are only difficult for new players. They are extremely predictable.

AI would need be improved by astronomical amounts and would need to scale with ranks for this.

Load a custom game... you vs 5 Intermediate bots... when you can literally 1v5 them you'll understand why it's not a great idea to have IM bots come in. I'd rather it search out a ringer that volunteered to come into the losing effort. Have a queue specifically for "fill" where you jump into an In progress lane, but if you lose no penalty or mitigated penalty.

in theory it's good, but nah, i don't think the ai's are that difficult. it's better than having no teammate (maybe), but it's still not that great. i don't think there's really any fair way to deal with leavers. everything is just too impractical or too easy to abuse

There is another MOBA out there that puts a player in to automatic mode when a player disconnects.

If they can do it...
